act smiley Posted 9 October 2012 Posted 9 October 2012 Thanks BB. I'm beginning to feel like the bloke on the Fast Show who agrees with whatever opinion the previous person said about anything. The other thing I'm hoping a remap will fix is an annoying flat spot around 3000 rpm when pulling away from standing. The engine almost dies and I effectively have to blip the throttle to get past that. Would remapping help? Remaps don't get the big power boosts they like to put on the adverts unless your car is turbocharged - however some cars have slight flat-spots designed into them due to the CO2 regulations which it can remove (for example, Alfa Romeos with the JTS engine). Having said that, "almost dies" indicates some sort of broken sensor, I'd certainly look into things like the MAF if its that bad.
