21st Century Fox Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 I realise that, what I'm saying is what's the difference, all three companies profits are based on the usury/riba. Do they just object to Wonga because theirs is bigger? Surely if they are taking it that literal they would struggle to even play football given their teammates? Riba is considered amongst the Seven heinous sins (Al-Saba al-Mubiqat - السَبعَ الموبÙقاتÙ), namely:[1] Believing in gods other than Allah. Magic. Murder. Riba/usury. Unlawfully taking orphans' money. Fleeing the battlefield. Accusing chaste, pious women. It's the excess of the interest rate.
Guest MattP Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 It's the excess of the interest rate. What's the acceptable interest rate of a company for them to wear then?
Guest MattP Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 Not 4,214% APR I think we all agree that Wonga are a pretty disgusting company that prays on the vulnerable. I can't for one minute see how it makes a difference to a religious belief though as it charges more interest, it's like saying a Muslim will wear Fosters as it's 4% piss but won't advertise Vodka. I'd be more impressed if all the players wanted to boycott it for what a disgraceful company they are.
RonnieTodger Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 Maybe if they didn't pay out ridiculous amounts of sponsorship they'd give better rates. Something's obviously working for them, though.
21st Century Fox Posted 12 October 2012 Posted 12 October 2012 The Newcastle squad have started their new high-intensity fitness regime as Pardew will now be asking 4,214% from them.
HEGGSY Posted 12 October 2012 Posted 12 October 2012 Newcastle are pleased to announce their new £24m shirt sponsorship deal with Wonga. However they will have to pay back £960m in a months time.
