Foxymcoxy Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Todays game was the most ridiculous thing I HAVE EVER SEEN. I am chuffed we are top of the league but wow, LLoyd and Waghorn need to get their shit together. Professional players don't even know the offside rule?!?!?!?!?
Thracian Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Have you checked a video of the decisions? Because a lot of them looked very marginal to me and, unfortunately, linesmen often can't seem to register the run being started and the ball being played at the same time. I don 't say it's easy either but it requires good peripheral vision and many officials seem to guess at what's right rather than actually giving what they see. This is conclusively proven when replays show them to be wrong. If in doubt they should leave the flag down. Birmingham's back four looked woefully vulnerable at times and I'd not be at all surprised if some of our "offsides" weren't offside at all.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 There were a few obvious offsides but the Brum commentary mentioned at least 3 or 4 occasions where the linesman had got the decision wrong!
davieG Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Couple of pictures from dyer's early offside Not conclusive but shows marginal it was.
Libertine Dream Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 I dont think 3 of the offsides first half were offside, and Dyers definitely wasn't
LJS Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 From where I was sitting (more or less level with the linesman) it did look offside. It's possible that the linesman's position wasn't all it should have been, but from where he was I can't blame him for making the call.
Harry - LCFC Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 TBH we really can't tell, unless you've seen the replay then you don't know if our players were offside or not. What I found very annoying was that we continued to be offside, the players should have made it easy for the officials by giving it a good yard or two.
Langley Posted 21 October 2012 Posted 21 October 2012 Nugent was called offside once and he was behind Curtis Davis when the ball was played. Couldn't believe it.
