Whitbread was outstanding. Won everything in the air, got blocks and tackles in and his positioning was first rate.

Kasper and Morgan have some merit too.

Kasper gets my vote because I could of seen Brighton going on to win the game if they scored the peno! I thought they were the better side who we tried to hit them on the break (I always thought away sides do that)! I'm worried if anything happens to knock because he has so much flair & can cut open the defences with his passes

Very tough call between Schmeichel and King - Schmeichel was a life-saver last night and looked as dependable as can be. But I voted King - he was in great positions and managed to get us counter attacks going, made a great clearance, won us the match

I went for Dyer. Him and Konchesky kept on penetrating Brighton's right flank. Drfinately improved. Good vision too.
