Shum Posted 25 July 2005 Author Share Posted 25 July 2005 Still 200 tickets on general sale today... PFFT at this... England players set for Twenty20 England stars Marcus Trescothick and Andrew Flintoff will play for their counties in next Saturday's Twenty20 Cup finals day at The Oval. The duo could meet up in the final if Flintoff helps Lancashire past Surrey and Trescothick 's Somerset beat Leicestershire in the semi-finals." Hitesh Posted 30 July 2005 Share Posted 30 July 2005 100/4 (13.2 ov) It looked easy when Maddy was still in but we have lost 3 quick wickets and its a risk of going pear shaped. Just hope the two in atm (Nixon/Alleby) get settled in quick!
Hitesh Posted 30 July 2005 Share Posted 30 July 2005 Somerset won by 4 runs. It looked good until we lost them 3 wickets in quick succesion. A bit of a collapse in the end. That is really disappointing as it was a very achievable target! Well...gonna be nice to see Somerset get thrashed by Lancs, providing the rain stays away. Hazza Posted 30 July 2005 Share Posted 30 July 2005 Pretty disappointing, the manner in which the first 3 wickets were lost annoyed me as we were ahead of the run rate and a few dot balls wouldn't have hurt. I really don't get why Ackerman came down the crease and attempted a defensive stroke, christ that was pointless. Did well to get there and credit to the lads but can't help but feel we threw that one away. Great catch by Masters to get Smith out though. Cobbo Posted 30 July 2005 Share Posted 30 July 2005 So Somerset win it in the end then. We really shouldn't have lost, Otis' last over cost us
Ultra Posted 31 July 2005 Share Posted 31 July 2005 So Somerset win it in the end then.We really shouldn't have lost, Otis' last over cost us 147133[/snapback] Indeed. He shouldn't really have been brought back on! If only we'd had Dagnall and Sadler!
