Knocky had been off the pitch receiving treatment on an injury just prior to the incident. As all the players had been chatting/practicing pens this week it was probably arranged before the game Knocky would take a pen if Wood was off the pitch, in hindsight I was slightly disappointed we didn't take our time over such an important kick, it seemed  Knocky just picked up the ball and rushed things. anyway its done now

I did see the typo but thought it was kinda sumg. And I have gads Watford fans tell me that they expect to get players in shall we say favourable terms, still time will tell.

Knockaert's mistake was eyeing for the (his) right hand side for the penalty - I think you can make that out in the replay.

 

I bet Almunia saw that and just went for that option.

 

What you want to do is not giving the opposing goalkeeper whatever indication where you'll be shooting.

 

Obviously, penalties are always a gamble. I just think Knockaert made Almunia's job a wee bit easier.

All a penno is is a free 12 yard shot and the keeper missed it I blame the defenders for not just taking one for the team when they where attacking
