I wonder if they let you keep and take away what you do? I also want to do the beer tasting but can't find the price for that. But there will be a few stalls with food so I have my dinner for a couple of days sorted.

You know things have gone to shit when a few days of 17-19 degrees is probably the best you're gonna get all year. Went out earlier and most people were still in coats. Quite a few people in coats and scarves. One even had a wooly hat and gloves. It's ****ing outrageous.

Has any one heard of University of the Third Age (U3A)? http://www.u3a.org.uk/home.html What I was told it's a country wide oranisation that caters for peopl who are retired or semi-retired. Like Age Concern but more active members. Theu arrange activities and pass on skills. I've never heard of them but it seems like the sort of thing those I am involved with could p promote.

My parents are in U3A and are very active. They go all over the place with them. Just got back from Prague

Just got back from Prague I was just going to post an update after being on the phone to them. This is the Leicester branch http://www.leicesteru3a.org.uk/index.php Looking at some of the activities I think I would be interested in some. I asked if I could interview one or two of them. I'll try and get there next week. I've got the magazine but the holidays in it seem too expensive for me. They also have an open day in August. One woman started a table tennis group at the age of 84. Good on her.
