MPH Posted 20 June 2013 Posted 20 June 2013 bit harsh on Peltier to be lumped in with the others mentioned. No way was he a world beater but he wasn't below average like the others mentioned.

Peltier was the worst of the lot. His attitude wasn't as bad as a couple of the others but he was hopeless from the moment Sven went.
surrifox Posted 20 June 2013 Posted 20 June 2013 I'm pretty sure I can speak for the majority saying we were all quite happy signing him, whenever I seen him play for Reading I thought he was one of if not the best defender in the league. Then the Reading fans came on here, slagging him off, saying he only played well when we were on TV (Shame he didn't play for us last season ah?!), we all thought they were bitter, they were true to their word though. At time of signing I was very happy though, I was soon proved very wrong. I was delighted that the club was ambitious with owners prepared to invest big in the team- I cant say that I knew much about him apart from a good performance in the play off final . My point really is that a little bit of due diligence might have saved the club a bundle of money and a massive ego and attitude problem was detectable given that all their fans were aware of it. - Oh and either £4 mill doesn't get you much in football or he really wasn't very good either.
indierich06 Posted 20 June 2013 Posted 20 June 2013 I like Pearson but he does have a knack for falling out with players. Based on what? A load of rumours with no substance? The only evidence of him ever falling out with a player is Sean St Ledger after he slagged Pearson off in front of the chairman, which is fair enough IMO.
