Guest Col city fan Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 Kaamark was real quality. You just watched him and knew he was a class player. So rarely gave the ball away and let very little past him.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 Peter Rodrigues, the finest sliding tackler I have ever seen, and so solid. David Nish is my other choice, a great player, n and fine captain.
Dickov22 Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 Kaamark was one of our greatest ever defenders. Much better than Grayson
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 Kaamark was real quality. You just watched him and knew he was a class player. So rarely gave the ball away and let very little past him. Very true Col
Chairman of the Bored Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 I didn't see Adam Black play, but my family shopped at his newsagents on Western Road and he would regularly recount tales of heroism in a blue shirt. A lovely man but would probably take no prisoners on the pitch! Nish was pure quality.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 Really liked Bobby Smith on his day (could also be a bit hit and miss though)
Leicester_Numan Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Whitlow was a decent player. ...but the best city LB of all time? Really?Where did I say that? I said he should have at least made the list, big difference
Zingari Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Rodrigues and Nish I thought Bobby Smith was a midfielder ( my memory is playing tricks again)
Kitchandro Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Grayson is winning because some people are just voting for players they've seen. Results are always going to be skewed in favour of the modern players in these polls.
absolutelegend Posted 20 July 2013 Posted 20 July 2013 Grayson is winning because some people are just voting for players they've seen. What else can you do, vote for players you haven't seen? they could be sh1t! + like it or not, modern players are prob 'generally' better than equivilent older players, for various reasons. Things move on, especially in sport and fitness related activities. After all, how many atheltics world records are still held now from 50 years ago? With the exception of eastern european "women".
