The Year Of The Fox Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 To anyone who sponsored me and Iwan Is A Welshman in our Loughborough Half Marathon last month. We have raised over £1000 for Macmillan. I know at least a couple off this forum did. It's much appreciated. I believe the justgiving page is still open til the end of the month so if you did want to sponsor us still it's all going to a good cause. I ended up running it in about 1 hour 52 mins and the other lad about 1 hour 55. The original date was set for mid March which gave us 3 months to get fit. We'd not ran in months and months so we were starting from scratch. The day before it was due it got cancelled because of the snow meaning we had to stay fit for another 3 months. (well the other 2 did, I didn't run for 8 weeks and then tried to do an 11 miler straight away which very nearly killed me!) We're hoping to do another before the end of the year as we seem to have caught the bug of the event itself. http://www.justgiving.com/Stuart-Ellison1

It actually didn't take too much effort. The idea was to get me to quit smoking but it never worked as my fitness didnt seem that bad . I ended up sprinting the last two miles
