Banks Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 Hi, was wondering how much train prices are compared to fox travel?
fleckneymike Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 yep Just use national rail to check. If you want to push the boat out its £15 first class.
Banks Posted 7 August 2013 Author Posted 7 August 2013 Cheers man, any chance you can send me the link?

ousefox Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 yep Just use national rail to check. If you want to push the boat out its £15 first class. Wouldn't bother on a Saturday for a half an hour trip. Not much benefit from my experience.
Dan Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 Always pretty cheap, better than FT and more convenient. Got barriers though unlike Nottingham - where I've in the past managed to get there and back for free.
Banks Posted 7 August 2013 Author Posted 7 August 2013 Cheers Mike, yeah haha! Might have to try that at Nottingham then! Yeah FT is a pain
Ford Super Sunday Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 £6.75 return with Railcard. Can't really beat local away days on the train.
Leicesterlad96 Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 How far walk from the station to the ground is it? Also can you buy tickets on the train or do you need to have pre booked them?
fleckneymike Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 How far walk from the station to the ground is it? Also can you buy tickets on the train or do you need to have pre booked them? About 5 mins. Out of the station, turn right, turn right again and bingo. Buy a ticket at Leicester station or online, barriers at Derby.
Leicesterlad96 Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 About 5 mins. Out of the station, turn right, turn right again and bingo. Buy a ticket at Leicester station or online, barriers at Derby. Cheers mate!
SmithyFox12 Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 How far walk from the station to the ground is it? Also can you buy tickets on the train or do you need to have pre booked them? The walk from the train station to the ground is quality, especially when the whole train is full of City fans. Short journey so it doesn't make your legs ache Past a pub that is full of Derby fans, over a roundabout and you're practically there.
lestajigs Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 Cheers mate! I thought it was at least a 10min walk??
SmithyFox12 Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 I thought it was at least a 10min walk?? I can remember it being 5-10? Definitely no more than 10.
K1FOX Posted 12 August 2013 Posted 12 August 2013 Gonna try get a child's ticket. £5.10 return. It'll get me through barriers, anyone reckon they'll check tickets on train ?
Dan Posted 12 August 2013 Posted 12 August 2013 Gonna try get a child's ticket. £5.10 return. It'll get me through barriers, anyone reckon they'll check tickets on train ? They tend to check to be honest. Never done it myself, but could hide in the toilets? Mind you I didn't even buy mine for Derby once, got all the way to Derby unchecked, and then there were barriers
