absolutelegend Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 so they have gone for the cheap option of an Economy rental car (£25) instead so i gotta drive clever, saves on parking too if you can hand it back at heathrow!

cambridgefox Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 i always beep my horn when i get back into leicestershire. Not being from Leicestershire I don't go into the county too often, but tend to give a Leicestershire la la la Leicestershire la la la whoever is in the car.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Yeah I gotta drop it off at Enterprise at the airport so aint too bad Now ppl are telling me the M40 ia just as bad as the M1... I'd get on the M40 at J10 not before that. M1, 15a, down the A43/A34 I cant remember which, past silverstone, past the airbase with the golf balls on your right and onto the M40. I've relatives in Oxford so have tried both routes at different times. M40 via silversyone is much quicker than M42 and M40
Lamby Posted 8 November 2013 Posted 8 November 2013 I want to know if he got there on time? You'll know in 3 days time
Socks Posted 15 November 2013 Author Posted 15 November 2013 I want to know if he got there on time? Yep I got there in time! left at 4am and went striaght down m1>m25 in the end no traffic at all hardly an got there just before 7am as had to drop the hire car off first p.s. sending this from the throne from our office in Allen, TX as had too much BBQ in the past 3 days and my guts are well off..... Everyone is so polite/respectful in Texas. Which is a nice change from the general attitude of most people in the UK. Its cheap for food and beer, everyone drives everywhere in pick-ups (i must be the only person walking anywhere and get some strange looks from drivers by) and there are no pavements hardly.... which is a bit weird and its cold here too as well at the moment
