MattGamble92 Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Totally agree about the fans who say they haven't been in ages and wont be coming back. The usual argument you get when you say you shouldnt boo your team is "every fan has purchased a ticket so they have the right", but when im paying hundreds to watch my team every season and i do nothing but stick by them for 90 minutes, its incredibly difficult to hear part timers who have paid for one game all season groan at every misplaced pass and let everyone around them know how we won't be seeing them again for another year. The best atmospheres i can remember at our ground are with some of the smallest crowds, think that tells you all you need to know.

Well done you, unfortunately due to FFP we need as amny of those fans to turn up as regularly as possible, as per normal the team ****ed up in front of a big home crowd.
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Well done you, unfortunately due to FFP we need as amny of those fans to turn up as regularly as possible, as per normal the team ****ed up in front of a big home crowd. As I said before, unfortunately Saturday's performance will not have helped this.30 k plus, at home to Forest and the match fizzled out into a boring non-event. When Nige brought on a defensive minded midfielder for Knocky, you knew where it was going. Nowhere. The penalty miss summed the second half (and Nugent's) performance up. Here was a chance to excite, to get the fans on the edge of their seats, to beat our rivals and to shut their fookin fans up. The opposite happened. I would suspect the next crowd size will be early 20's.. Unless you are a 'die-hard' fan (and good luck to them), football is no different to any other entertainment industry.., people demand value for money.
Dan Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 I tend to agree our home atmosphere has been poisonous in the past but it hasn't been this year. It hasn't been particularly great this year but I don't think there as many waiting to jump on every mistake. It isn't the fans' fault that Nugent can't hit the target from 12 yards.
Quorndon_Fox Posted 15 November 2013 Posted 15 November 2013 On the way home last night on Radio Leicester they read out a text "Not been for 3 years, came today, it was awful, wont be back again." I say good **** off we don't need you or your unrealistic expectations and the pressure it puts on our team. Imagine how many of the b@stards will turn up when we get in the Premier League. I was up in arms about the ticket allocation for the Man City game (I've only paid up as a blue fox member as I cant warrant a full season ticket) but in hindsight if all the STH have brought all of the tickets up it means it keeps the glory boys and 'passive' supporters out!
seenitall Posted 15 November 2013 Posted 15 November 2013 Watching Nige afterwards on the telly being all smiley about it probably didn't help - I agree with Col, when you do make the effort and they nause it up it does make it hard to be arsed for the next one. Prefer watching it on the telly these days, much warmer, you can see what is actually happening and to be honest, the atmosphere is sometimes better - if he can just get us promoted (please Nige, try harder) then I can watch every game and I will be as brilliant as the 1500 real fans we have who go to every game.

I'd say more tickets to prawn sarnnies and little jonny who now supports Man city as an xmas prezzie. Some of the STH will have sold the other 5 tickets to the highest bidders.
