Guest MattP Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 well if she sleeps in her own room he can't claim his spare bedroom allowance. Pretty sure Mr Cameron doesn't have to sponge off the taxpayer for his living arrangements.
The People's Hero Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 No rep point? Didn't realise you'd resorted to begging like your heroes
Rincewind Posted 30 November 2013 Author Posted 30 November 2013 Didn't realise you'd resorted to begging like your heroes well you know what it is like. One day you have everything you need then the next an unexpected event turns your life around for the worse. Then instead of looking down on people you are looking up at people.

Yeah, unless you've taken the time/opportunity to acquire some skills that might be of use to someone else.

MooseBreath Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 http://www.therichest.com/expensive-lifestyle/money/10-millionaires-that-will-end-up-broke/ I assume you haven't read that? As well as claiming that "1 in 3" is equal to 70%, it does absolutely nothing to help make your point.

But if your skill is a scaffolder and you lose your arms it will be difficult to get another job in that trade. Extreme example maybe but I did say unexpected downfall in fortune. Noone is immune from it.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 Good for you mate. Helping people less well off than yourself can be satisfying as well as frustrating - the issue will always be present but granting even a few individuals on the way some life opportunities to improve their situation is an admirable pastime. Fair play to you. I fully agree. Good on Ken. He's a really good person, and he shows real passion.

Some people are more risk hungry and prefer to just risk if but can hardly complain if they've not put things in place. Perhaps rather than spend 20 PCM on insurances, people prefer to buy booze and fags. Fair enough. You pays yer money and takes yer choice.
Jimothy Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Pretty sure Mr Cameron doesn't have to sponge off the taxpayer for his living arrangements. Pretty sure he's living in a taxpayer funded property.
