Guest ttfn Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 Tough call really. Whilst clearly off form, we play with a defend from the front and a counter attack at pace style. Which probably suits him more than it does Wood. Do you sacrifice someone who benefits the teams style for someone who potentially is a better finisher? I think the "defending from the front" point is really important. I do think Nugent needs to be "rested" for at least a week but we will definitely lose some of his work ethic if he gets dropped. The key to bringing Wood into the side is to KEEP THE BALL ON THE FLOOR. The guy is a very good striker at this level in a passing side, but despite his size is the least effective target man we've had since Mark de Vries. who would we replace him with? Wood seems to have lost it, Vardy is only in form striker. need to loan someone decent in Jan IMO. Wood looked sharp against Millwall, I thought he was a pretty significant improvement on Nugent.

Im sorry mate, but that is an absolutely ridiculous post. Morgan is one of our best and most consistent players. How the hell can you blame him for our poor conceding record. Kapser has made just as many costly errors this year as Morgan. Wasyl was at fault for atleast one goal last night. You cant blame Morgan for everything. I would have him in my starting lineup any day of the week.

I was engaging in a small amount of gentle pastiche with our mutual friend and benefactor Mr Cityfanlee23. I don't think Morgan should be dropped, I don't think Nugent should be sold for tuppence. I do know how to use capital letters. But making logical arguments seems a bit redundant, so I thought I'd resort to parody. Whoops. For me he's to slow.unfit Lets just see what man city's boys do You are just really clueless - did you even attend the game?? Both of Wickham's goals had nothing to do with Wes. As soon as we took the lead Wickham was moved out to their far left as they changed to a 4-5-1. For both of his goals he was coming in from the back post, it anyone of the back 4 was to blame it would be konch (for not blocking the cross) and Was (He left Wickham twice). Wes was pretty solid last night. He was clearly up against a striker who could physically match him, which you would expect us to face at some point. He won as many as he lost so he had a fairly solid game, hence the fact they created nothing apart from their 2 fortunate strikes. As for the comments about 'Let's see what Man City's boys do'. Remember this is a side which is better than those who put 6 past the likes of Ferdinand and Evra at Old Trafford. They are well capable of putting that amount past anyone whether it be Wes, Ferdinand or Maldini.
