They are worth whatever someone is willing to pay and we are willing to accept and since we are vying for promotion anyone around the first team is worth more to us than teams are willing to pay.

I think people are posting different perceptions of values tbh, or maybe confusing market value. I guess base values of what the players abilities are are fair enough (Col) but It looks like a lot of people are posting values of what the players are worth to us which is fair enough I think. 

 

It would be pointless selling players like Knocky and Moore for £500k - £1m.

With Moore, for example. If we weren't sitting pretty at the top of the table, but he was still playing well, the club would be much more inclined to sell him, for less than what we perceive him to be worth at this moment. The fact that we are in a good financial position, with the owners recently 'clearing' our debts, it means that 2mil for such an integral part of possibly a very profitable team (promotion), is absolute peanuts.
