Devonfox1884 Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Lots of people are very unimpressed with Fulham's £2million offer for liam moore today, and in the knockaert thread in transfer talk some people are saying he is worth at least £10million, this has me wondering, what do you think our starting XI is worth?? I'd say: Kasper: £2million (£4million if his contract had another year left to run) De Laet: £2million. Morgan: same as kasper. Moore: at least £4million, if not more. Konch: 500k. Knocky: £5million if not more. Drinky: £3.5million James: £3million Dyer: £1millon because of his age and contract. (but to me he is priceless) Nuge: £1.5million (double if his contract had longer to run) Vardy: £2.5million. So about £27million in total. Anybody disagree??
foxfanazer Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Really difficult to say to be honest. Is it what they're worth to us or matket value. I'd make them more expensive just because I wouldn't want them to leave but you estimations don't seem far wrong on the whole
squidsworth Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Wouldn't argue to much with most of those, though de laet would probably be more 1million, drinky 2.5mill, james 1.5mill, but the one I think you're way over the top with is knocky, I'd say more like 2mill - as he is by no means the finished article. Add to that FFP, and only those who could attract premiership attention are likely to go for those sorts of figures - especially considering some of em will be available for nowt in the summer!

Dickov22 Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Liam Moore has been playing well consistently, played for England under 21s and will improve futhet you'd have thought. £5m minimum
Sharpe's Fox Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 I think you have slightly overestimated some of those prices, I guess it mostly depends on what clubs are willing to pay. For example clubs just relegated would pay extortionate prices compared to clubs that have been in the Championship for a while of a similar size.
Carl the Llama Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Liam should fetch about £24m, Tony about £90m.

Captain... Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 All those with contracts running out in June are worth fvck all. A players value to buyers is only partly down to their ability, more and more it is down to the contract they are on and how long is left on it.
TheSharpeEnd Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 I think £2m is absolutely p*iss poor for someone of Liam's potential. Alex Ferguson makes the point in his book that when you buy a young player, you are investing in the future. Not just how good the player is now, but how good you think he will become.
lgfualol Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Liam should fetch about £24m, Tony about £90m. This isnt the 1990s, Tony will go for at least 120m.
Cincinnati Fox Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Kasper: £1million (£4million if his contract had another year left to run) De Laet: £2million. Morgan: 2 million would not sell for that but would not pay more than that Moore: at least £8million, if not more. Konch: 500k. Knocky: £4million if not more. Drinky: £3.5million James: £3million Dyer: £1millon because of his age and contract. (but to me he is priceless) Nuge: £1million (double if his contract had longer to run) Vardy: £1.8million.
Carl the Llama Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 This isnt the 1990s, Tony will go for at least 120m. You're right, I forgot Gareth Bale only went for £78m - Given relative ability and value to the club we can expect about double that.
Guest Col city fan Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Am I the only one who thinks some of these valuations are wildly over the top? I think many are seriously looking thru blue tinted specs today? Eg..Morgan worth 2 million quid when he has 6 mths left on his contract? You gotta be joking!! My list: Kasper... until he signs an improved long-term contract... 1 mill tops. Morgan.... 750k Konch... 250k DeLaet.... 1.5 mill Moore... 3/4 mill Dyer... 750k Knocky... 2.5 mill Drinkwater... 2.5 mill James.... 2mill Vardy... 1.5 mill Nugent... 750k Now, if we get promoted AND new contracts are signed, expect all these values to increase, some quite markedly. How things stand NOW, we have won nothing yet, very few players have experience of the top flight and those soon to be out of contract could go for next to nothing. I really dont get where some people are coming from on this.

JonnyBoy Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 i think a few would be suprised how much Dyer could fetch. Without him this season we wouldn't be top. Simple i think we could get 2 million
Guest Col city fan Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Christ Col, I think you're going a bit loopy. I was genuinely thinking the same about some of the valuations cited for our players!

Simple i think we could get 2 million I love Lloyd. My player of the season so far. If anyone offers 2 million for the smashin fella, Ill be surprised to say the least. Are people basing these figures on our current vein of great form? Genuine question.

Leicfox Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Kasper - 2m Morgan - 1m - 1.3m Moore - 1.8m - 2m de-Laet - 1.3m - 1.5 Konch - 400k - 500k Drinkwater 1.5m - 1.7m James - 800k - 1m King - 1.5m - 1.7m Dyer - 500k - 600k Knocky - 2m - 2.2m Vardy - 1.2m - 1.5m Nugent - 1.6m - 1.8m Wood - 1m - 1.2m Just my take on how I see it.
Guest Col city fan Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 In 2 weeks time they will be worth nothing at all.You said it buddy...Some of this thread is potty. Do people not realise that any of the players you mentioned could leave in the summer for nix?
fleckneymike Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 They're worth whatever someone is willing to pay.
