Culletonfox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Precisely. Current team is of a similar quality to this one imo Ref is looking directly at that - still makes my blood boil. Hate Shearer! Dirty footballer.......
Eddy Kellys Heroes Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Nothing Shearer says on the subject is credible, how he can sit and criticise anyone for violent conduct is laughable! I saw the Lenon incident from about 10 yards, disliked Shearer ever since. Almost Masonic the way he got away with it.
rico Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Precisely. Current team is of a similar quality to this one imo Ref is looking directly at that - still makes my blood boil. David Batty pulling Lennons legs off the pitch so play can go on
Webbo Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Can't believe Shearer thinks he'll resign! He's not gonna walk away from a 8 year contract with about 6 years left! The idiot. If Pardew goes he'll wait it get sacked. I'd guess that if he was sacked it would be for gross misconduct, I doubt he'd get anything.
ARTY_FOX Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 The FA were a disgrace and shearer shown himself up for the whiney little **** that he is. 'Maybe because he is the England captain' had everything to do with it as far as the FA was concerned. The ref however should not have missed it, the ball hadn't gone anywhere and he was looking right at it. Not only did the ball not go anywhere he turns around for the kick so at that moment the balls behind him ffs!!
Bluetintedspecs Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 The biggest issue here is there's a huge difference between a player headbutting another player and a manager headbutting a player. That's why it's sackable and inexcusable. No one can defend it. These managers are professionals who have been in the game for 30 plus years. It'd be like a linesman headbuttng a player. Would they keep their job and just get a fine? How anyone can defend it or brush it off is beyond me. The guy is clearly proven again what a bellend he is and how do you explain that to your children? I had a hard time. "oh it's ok for authority figures to lash out in the heat of the moment, he said he was sorry" "Does that mean my teacher could headbutt me?" You've saved me a lengthy post blue. How anyone can defend mindless thuggery like that beggars belief. The spotlight with the mass media coverage, imo, makes Pardews position untennable. A little bit of pushing is handbags, shoving your head into the face of an opposition player when you are an experienced manager is gross misconduct and sackable. Newcastle have been very clever with their quick response , heavy fine and warning. Anyone condoning Pardews' actions need to take a look at themselves I feel.
