Beliall Posted 23 March 2014 Author Posted 23 March 2014 ok i made another team purely to get things started. its called "bye" and throughout the season i will remove the best players, and will select the worst players for the draft. for our purposes they do not count. teams have been finalised and i have selected to finalise draft. this took me to a new screen, i have no idea how this stage works, but i can apparantly choose what players you get? i have a draft list that doesnt change and i can move players to your teams. if i have to do this i will endevour to make it fair,butfirst im going to try and start the season without doing this, to see if it auto picks the players we shortlisted. .

I recommend you explore the site, see what you can do, this doesnt seem to be a league where tou just leave it, you can change things. The bye team I created only has one player I have heard of, david ortiz. Ill trade him away when I can.

I may be in the market for an infielder, though. I'd snag Ortiz, but I don't think my 9th priority on the waiver wire is gonna cut it...

This league will be a learning experience for me thata for sure. .It's all good I should have been more clear in what I was saying. Aroldis Chapman got blasted in the head with a line drive in a Spring Training game, so he's gonna be out for possibly 2 months. Just like how the Reds will move Chapman to the Disabled List and replace him with another player until he returns, we can do that in our league, but I have to wait until the Reds actually add Chapman to the DL before I can do that with my fantasy team.As for the Ortiz thing, when a player gets released, there is a two day "waiver" period where teams can put in a claim for him, and at the end of those two days, the claiming team with the best priority gets him (and subsequently drops to the bottom of the waiver priority ranking). If a player "clears waivers" without being claimed, he goes into free agency, where any team can pick him up at any time. I think you've got a good handle on the league, but if you really think you need help, let me know. The only thing to take care of is the bye team. Do that in whatever way you think is most fair to the league. Edit: Smuts nailed it with his draft it's just a shame that Randy Johnson is no longer playing!
Beliall Posted 24 March 2014 Author Posted 24 March 2014 cheers jordan, ive gone by the ranking and % owned of the bye players and dropped the highest ones, can only do 6 a week so will continue to do that, meanwhile ill put catchers in SS and that kind of thing if possible. ill go ahead and make you joint commish, if you dont mind, it might come in handy
