Haydos Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 What are the chances of someone making an app for our wonderful message board? Would it be worth it? It would be nice to launch from phone screen and to be a bit more touchscreen friendly. Would it be much work? It's not my forte but I'm sure there's a few budding/professional programmers on here that would be more than capable. Feel free to shoot me down
Finnegan Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 Isn't this basically what TappaTalk is? I've never bothered with it as I find the mobile version of the FT skin to be more than adequate, to be honest.

There's a few little things that could be handier though such as being able to change subforums without going through menus (maybe dropdowns). Like I say, not sure if things like this can be changed on the mobile site or if it would have to be a seperate application

It's possible he may be able to make adjustments to the skin to bring in your navigation options without it actually being an app? Not sure how versatile it is.

Haydos Posted 7 May 2014 Author Posted 7 May 2014 Yeah, if you're reading mark it would be cool if the back button (labelled with the sub you're currently in) was a dropdown to the rest of the sub forums.

But constructive criticism and - better yet - just genuine ideas I think he's usually willing to consider and enjoys experimenting with.

The screen is pretty small on phones and I'm sure I'd end up accidentally repping one of Seenitall's moans or Ken's tale about his trip to the pub. Mobile site works pretty much perfectly IMO.

When you click on a post it opens up the quote feature, could have rep alongside it I assume.
