The 25-year-old has been playing for Genclerbirligi in Turkey but has tentative offers from four Premier League clubs, while newly-promoted Leicester City have also shown an interest. eye666 Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 Another 6'4" defensive midfield beast. Fingers crossed we get a player like this.
Father Ted Posted 10 May 2014 Posted 10 May 2014 Can't see him returning to England after his unsuccessful spell at Blackburn. Have mixed views on this, not sure he'd be better than what we already have but could be the lynchpin in a midfield 3 allowing Drinky to do his damage. Big, strong, dirty, good at breaking play up and getting unnecessary yellow cards but is quite slow and not the greatest with the ball at his feet. We can do better.
Father Ted Posted 18 May 2014 Posted 18 May 2014 This has now been mentioned in a couple of Serbian papers, linking him just with us. May be something in this.
xHamzah Posted 18 May 2014 Posted 18 May 2014 6"4" but would still never score from a set-piece for us!

mozartfox Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Forget about Turkey. Do we have any scouts in Austria? If so, I can recommend a couple to watch. Everton are active here by all accounts.

You need more to convince me to pay more attention to the Austrian leagues. Compared to Switzerland, they're operating in the Stone Age. Although I do acknowledge Red Bull Salzburg's current European status. It hurts, though. The Viennese clubs (Austria and Rapid) need to come back strong soon. The rest of the league is pants, really. I'd claim that teams 6 to 10 in the top tier are playing on the same level as teams in the Swiss Challenge League at best.
