I've got an old Acer All in one PC that I've just restored to factory settings and is loaded with windows 10. It can't be upgraded to windows 11.

I want to have 2 operating systems on it Win10 plus Win 7, don't ask why it's long story suffice to say I'm doing it for MrsG to use.

Disk C is 465GB  with 42 GB used for Win 10.

This is the spec

It'll only be used for making music videos in 'cool edit pro, paintshop pro and Windows Movie Maker so nothing to onerous. Some web browsing

I need to know

Can this PC run with both Win versions?

Are all the files saved on it accessible when logged into either of the Windows versions?

Yes.

You need to use some partitioning software to create another drive with enough allocated space for the Win7 install and MrsG's other needs. 64GB should be fine.

Then find a Win7 iso online, stick it on a USB drive, boot into that, and install it on your new partition.

Thanks, I've got a Windows 7 Home Premium CD which came with an even older  desk top pc I'm trying to get her to stop using.

Can I do the partition with the Win 10 already installed - I'll need to find a YouTube video to see how to do the partition.

Oh hang on there's software to do it for me? That'll be good.

Yes you can.

If you still have the windows product key you *might* be able to find a download on Microsoft'site. Im not 100% sure.

To create the partition download EaseUS Partition Master (there should be a free trial) and use that. Macrium Reflect is another one.

I'd imagine I'll be back on here novice that I am.
