Basingstoke Fox Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 Introducing the Soccer AM Stadium - Basingstoke Town change name of ground Club will feature on Sky Sports' Saturday morning show throughout seasonLast Updated: 16/07/14 11:56am 0 Soccer AM and Basingtoke Town: Teaming up for the new season Basingstoke Town will be playing at the Soccer AM Stadium next season! The Conference South club have announced a unique partnership with Sky Sports’ Saturday morning show, which will see the name of The Camrose Stadium changed in honour of Max, Helen and the gang. Basingstoke Town will also feature regularly on the show next year on features including Away Days and the Crossbar Challenge – plus some of their supporters will be invited to be Fans of the Week in the Luther Blissett stand. Soccer AM producer, Rob Wakeling said: “Sponsoring a stadium is a first for us and we are very excited as it will bring lots more great opportunities to have some fun outside the studio. “We’re really pleased to be supporting Basingstoke Town FC from now on - and we’ve got some very exciting things planned over the coming season. We are also very excited that Basingstoke Town FC will be playing at the Soccer AM Stadium.†Basingstoke Town Chairman Rafi Razzak said: “This fits incredibly well with our key objective - to create a club that is self sufficient and at the heart of our community. “The eyes of the nation will be on us this season - and supporters who may not have heard of us before will get to know Basingstoke Town FC pretty well, through our partnership with Soccer AM. “It’s an excellent opportunity for us to build on our reputation - making it a club that local people can quite rightly be incredibly proud of.†http://www1.skysports.com/watch/tv-shows/soccer-am/news/9383647/introducing-the-soccer-am-stadium-basingstoke-town-change-name-of-ground Cringed when I found out about this earlier. I find it sad to see this happen to my non-league club. It's another sign of the way that football is going. Hopefully at least any revenue gained for this will actually be used to the benefit of the club. The chairman is an overly tight bastard! Here it is in all its glory:
kingfox Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 I'm surprised Soccer Am is still going, you just to hope they plug it off air sooner rather than later.
Stadt Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 A little bit cringey but it should only do good for the club.
Fox92 Posted 17 July 2014 Posted 17 July 2014 I'm surprised Soccer Am is still going, you just to hope they plug it off air sooner rather than later. Yeah, it's rubbish since Lovejoy and co left. Don't watch it anymore.
