cjslcfc Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 I could ask why you dont rate a current england international and manchester united striker? Hes certainly better than ****ing deeney Really lacks composure most of the time. Doesn't have a great goals record. Granted, he could probably do a good job for us but I wouldn't take him in a heartbeat. Think he's one of those players who is overrated because he plays for Manchester United.
Beliall Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 I can see that, my point was simply that with the deeney prices we are hearing, id choose welbeck over him, wages permitting
cjslcfc Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 I can see that, my point was simply that with the deeney prices we are hearing, id choose welbeck over him, wages permitting Maybe. By the sounds of it the Deeney offers are nowhere near what has been reported. Seen somewhere in the transfer section Sky Sports saying we've actually only made one bid around £6.5m
Beliall Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 Oh, well, still I would have welbeck for 12 than deeney for 6
jammie82uk Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 To be fair to RDL he was facing one of the most accomplished left side combinations in Europe with little cover, all things considered did ok. Can't disagree with cover at RB but RDL will do fine this season. Totally agree with this show me a RB who won't struggle against that pairing this season
Thracian Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 Remi Moses might have been a useful option but he's just been snapped up. We've got more injuries than I seem to remember through all of last season. Perhaps our luck's ran out in this department although a million friendlies in five minutes was never going to help. However you look at it, injured or unavailable players are no use come matchtime so the sooner we cement the cracks the better. Welbeck instead of Cambiasso or Deeney might be a good option. Might leave something left for a full-back, centre-back and winger. Such a pity Dyer ever left.
glenelgfox Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 Da Laets second half mirrored the team performance - ran out their nerves and looked more composed overall than the first.
