Alexikokopops Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 My girlfriend got me a home brewing course for my birthday so we're both off there a week tomorrow. Hopefully I'll then be able to have more input in this thread!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 My girlfriend got me a home brewing course for my birthday so we're both off there a week tomorrow. Hopefully I'll then be able to have more input in this thread! I wanted to do this when I was at school, but it wasn't in the curriculum.
Rincewind Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 The Kings Head have done another Ginger Beer Captains Reserve 6.2abv made with adding rum. I had the last pint today. I can confirm you do not need many.
Alexikokopops Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 I think it's safe to say that we're home brew converts after Saturday. Looking into getting a 5 gallon pressure barrel, anyone got any recommendations? Obviously need to vent out excess CO2 if the pressure's getting too much, then stick some in as we drink it.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 I remember the day you came out with this quote Just been sick on a tramp then had a fight with him then had a meatball marinara subway but gave half to the tramp as recompense for vomiting on him then called a policeman "filth" and I craved every single second of it because im minty and im also proud and also loud IM ALEXIKOKOPOPS AND I DO WHAT I WANT Now you're on about venting excess CO2. GAME'S GONE.
Bluefoxtim Posted 23 January 2015 Posted 23 January 2015 I'm getting really into real ale's now. Do my best to avoid Carlsberg and the like when I'm out. Girlfriend got me a subscription to beerbods (https://beerbods.co.uk/) which I'm hoping to start soon. How much money and time would you have to spend to make a decent batch yourself? Can imagine these off the shelf kits are a waste of time?
