Dan Posted 10 October 2014 Posted 10 October 2014 Being an old so and so I remember when the F A Cup draw was on a Monday lunchtime, used to sit around a transistor radio listening, none of this crap about moving it to accommodate Sky etc. It's Monday at 7pm I read on BBC.
NewquayFox Posted 10 October 2014 Posted 10 October 2014 Bugger, was going to come up for the Liverpool game too......
kylestyle06 Posted 10 October 2014 Posted 10 October 2014 Was gutted, going to Goa in November/December and was so annoyed that I was going to miss the Liverpool game, has made it all the better that

Why does it being on Sunday mean you can't do that anymore? Don't know why some people are so annoyed about this, is it really that much of a change from the usual weekend game?

Harry - LCFC Posted 10 October 2014 Posted 10 October 2014 Erm yes. Some people have work on a Monday morning. As long as you leave a few hours to sober up before you go to sleep you don't get a hangover. It's perfectly possible to do still, okay maybe you might have to limit yourself a bit more but I don't see why the day's been ruined.
Dan Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 You can still do it but it's a ballache being hungover at work rather than at home. I'm saving it for the Saturday night anyway. Got a birthday meal out in Leicester, probably get on the train from there and go out in Birmingham.

You've just mentioned two things as to why the day could be ruined.
MattGamble92 Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 I know the Monday draws at about 1.30 were always difficult to listen to but that made it a tradition. Sitting in class with a earphone up my arm pretending I had a problem with my ear was a tradition back in the day

Don't know why some people are so annoyed about this, is it really that much of a change from the usual weekend game? cuz its a ****ing pain.3pm sat ko. drive or train to bham, check into hotel few beers, football, back to hotel change, night on the town. sleep it off, sunday head home. sunday ko. go out sat night, sleep it off, have to check out of hotel, have to find somewhere to park car near villa park without some little scum bag scratching it. 1 of us can't drink. or get get train home carry a ****ing bag round all day and not get back till 9pm on a sunday, not see my kids on my bday and get up to go work next morning. maybe that's not an issue for some. however for us we are not so keen. but so long as $ky are happy.
