Bluefoxtim Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 Leicester City have today completed the signing of Fulham striker Elvis Hammond for an initial fee of £225,000. The 24-year-old centre-forward, who has been on loan with the Foxes since the start of the season, becomes Craig Levein's second signing of the day following the capture of striker Iain Hume from Tranmere Rovers. Hammond had found first team appearances difficult to come by at Fulham, and enjoyed loan spells with Bristol Rovers, Norwich City and Dutch side RBC Roosendaal before moving to the Walkers Stadium in August. The Ghana-born centre forward will keep the number 18 shirt, and will be contracted to the club until June 2008. Hammond has excited City fans with his blistering pace since his arrival and will now be looking to push for a place in the first team starting line up following the departure of David Connolly to Wigan Athletic. Meanwhile, Tommy Wright has joined Blackpool on loan until the end of the year. Wright has found first team appearances difficult to come by this season and will moves to Bloomfield Road in search of games. http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...~707463,00.html
Stuliasz Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 Good good, he will have to work on his finishing, but he has caused problems for every defence he has come up against so far.
lookwhaticando Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 Good good, he will have to work on his finishing, but he has caused problems for every defence he has come up against so far. This Hume lad's supposed to be a good finisher isn't he? Imagine a Hume/Hammond strike pair
marko Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 Get Hammond playing on the shoulder of the last defender, put the frigthners on em with his pace.
lookwhaticando Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 Forget the SAS, we've got the HAH. Or the DAD. Or a combo... and if that combo scores a goal or two and wins the game, the opposition will be going we've been HAD
lookwhaticando Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 Forget the SAS, we've got the HAH. Our strike-force is not to be laughed at!
TornadoShaunUK Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 Fulhm FC OS check out the main headline.. great title
Gené and Tonic Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 why do we have the crappest official site?
lookwhaticando Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 Fulhm FC OS check out the main headline.. great title Classy. It's the 'obvious' title but I didn't think they'd use it on their official site. And our official site is shitty because it's part of the generic "Premium TV" system - most of the other sites run by PTV are pretty useless too. There's a few other types around, and some clubs contract an independant firm out - I think Fulham is one such example, but they've probably got the money for that kinda thing // http://www.liquorice.net/ are the people who do Fulham's website. FFC is the only football club website they manage. They must pair a fair few bob to get them to manage that site.
Anish Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 Fulhm FC OS check out the main headline.. great title quality!
cisono Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 This Hume lad's supposed to be a good finisher isn't he? Imagine a Hume/Hammond strike pair Don't want to imagine... looking forward to seeing them in action.
Gené and Tonic Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 Think we're always going to see Hume/Dublin, Hume/De Vries, Hammond/Dublin, Hammond/De Vries. I doubt they will play together often Connolly and Hammond were never paired up by CL.

I doubt they will play together often Connolly and Hammond were never paired up by CL. Hmm you may be right. Then the imagining would come in handy On the other hand, you never know... injuries (fingers crossed - not!) or strange events may force CL to pair them up sooner or later, at least occasionally.
