Tony Sibson talking about his knockout of Alan Minter at 1.39 into the video.

Always remembered how the fight was never shown on tv because Minter had some advertising on his shorts!

Such a shame, because Minter was absolutely demolished by him, even though most outside of Leicester thought Sibbo had no chance.

Spent many a time in the kop  in the 80`s singing "Sibbo batters cockneys".

A really exciting fighter, very different to Rendall Munroe who was a decent boxer, but didn`t really have that explosive knockout punch.

With Sibbo, you knew it could be over at any second, if he connected with one of his haymakers.

Great fighter, great days!

Went to watch him fight many times. Weigh in at Stringfellows for the Andries fight was awesome...some fine old boxers in there.

I knew Sibbo and he was a good fighter.

 

Marvelous Marvin was another leel altogether. It was a true pleasure to see Hagler fight.
