Scow Posted 22 December 2004 Posted 22 December 2004 Leicester City are proud to announce the launch of an all-new 100 per cent official club magazine. It will launch on March 4 and has the full backing of everyone at the club which will benefit directly from every issue sold. The mag will be full-colour, glossy and have 68 pages every month. It will feature players past and present, exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes access, posters, action and... YOU! For this will be a product written by fans for fans. Paul Mace, Chief Operating Officer, said: "This new club magazine will enable the club to further expand its line of communications and dialogue with supporters in an entertaining and informative manner. "In recent years we are fortunate that our club publications have established themselves as the best in English football. "In working with Green Park Publishing we are confident that we will have another major addition to our award-winning portfolio." The only thing it currently lacks is a title and the fan-input starts here as we want Leicester City supporters, wherever they may be in the world, to name the magazine is in a unique competition (see below). The aim of the magazine is to complement the unrivalled news coverage of the official website and the traditional match day entertainment of the programme by adding an informative and witty, specialist magazine that offers the kind of coverage national newspapers and football magazines can only dream of. It will, of course, feature in-depth interviews with players, high quality writing and first class photography - but it will also encourage Foxes fans to have their say, not only in letters but in dedicated editorial... The best applicants will get free tickets to write match reports, the most dedicated fans will be featured and photographed, and the in-house expert will answer all your Leicester questions. If you see something that reminds you of the club strip, photograph it and send it in! Meet a fan in a far off place - let us know about it! Got a treasured memory or piece of memorabilia that we could all share, let us borrow it and we'll make this the ultimate read for Leicester city fans. The best contributions will win match tickets or you could even get the chance to meet the players. Hence the disagreements and fun debates except when Nathan , Daniel and MON are involved although in truth I suspect they actually do enjoy their arguments in a perverse sort of way . If I were you I'd steer clear of those particular debates :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: And a Merry Christmas to you
Anish Posted 23 December 2004 Posted 23 December 2004 Welcome Katy - follow Davieg's sound advice and you'll be fine on here. Nice to have a few more female fans on here too.

Foxes_Trust Posted 25 December 2004 Posted 25 December 2004 /quote]They wernt like this before Last season they made a health profit, could that 4/5 million have been spent in keeping us up??? 49452[/snapback] You need to remember that over 1 million of that profit was made on the final day of the season by obtaining 18th place + Sky coverage of that game. The profit made last season has been utilised this season covering the players salary budget among other things which enabled Micky to bring in a number of players. His choice of players may not have worked, but we did have one of the highest playing budgets in the division. Back to the original point, a monthly magazine was not included in the season ticket package, so we can't see 16,000 copies being given away each month. As they do have to pay print costs, that is just adding losses to the club. Whether the club will offer some incentive to ST holders at renewal time with the magazine we will have to wait & see, it will be something we will discuss with the club.
