Leicester Lass Posted 23 October 2006 Author Posted 23 October 2006 they deserve eachother, a match made in hell Wise to hold talks over Leeds job Swindon have given boss Dennis Wise permission to talk to Championship strugglers Leeds about their managerial vacancy, reports BBC Radio Leeds. Leeds have been without a boss since sacking Kevin Blackwell in September. A clause in the contracts of Wise and his assistant Gus Poyet allow them to speak to Premiership or Championship clubs that express an interest. It states that if they move, Swindon will receive the value of one year's salary of both of them in compensation. Ex-England midfielder Wise took charge at the County Ground in May following their relegation to League Two and they won their first six league games under him. Swindon are now third in League Two, three points behind leaders Walsall. Since Blackwell's departure, coach John Carver has been in charge on a caretaker basis at Elland Road. However, he conceded after the recent 4-0 home defeat by Stoke that his chances of landing the job permanently had probably ended. Wise has been continually linked with Leeds after spending many years as a player under United chairman Ken Bates at Chelsea. He also managed Millwall between October 2003 and May 2005, leading them to the 2004 FA Cup final. Dirty Leeds Anyone else looking forward to Leeds at home already??

Ultra Posted 23 October 2006 Posted 23 October 2006 Apparently Bates was unwilling to stump up the compo. Surely he can't have blown ALL the money he got off Abramovich?
lcfc_jme Posted 23 October 2006 Posted 23 October 2006 Dirty Tw*t to Dirty Leeds?? Sounds perfect to me. Would be great fun if it happened and he came with them to the Walkers. I wonder if people would give him as easy a time as they did T*yl*r at the weekend??
