Head Honcho Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 Don't know what they'd want for him but only cost The Swans £125k and could be worth a gamble if we had the cash to buy him. Official reason for him being transfer listed is a bit of a worry though "too lazy" 20 goals in 37 games for Swansea Seven this season

Ultra Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 I'm not sure we should be looking at anyone who's been given the push by both Brighton AND Swansea..

And if it goes well, try to arrange a deal.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 He's League One record is impressive but he has failed to do the business in this division when given the chance.
Head Honcho Posted 16 October 2006 Author Posted 16 October 2006 I'm not sure we should be looking at anyone who's been given the push by both Brighton AND Swansea.. Brighton got rid of him because he was always arguing with McGee about team selection and the last straw was when he was thrown off the team bus.

Wasn't their a incident with a Jag he got on HP and he missed a payment and had to default 10 grand or something...
Ultra Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 His League One record is impressive but he has failed to do the business in this division when given the chance. Exactly! In any case, his style is too similar to Hume's.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 I wouldn't bother with him. We need a targetman. Knowing us he will be earmarked as the one, despite being 3 foot 6.
Head Honcho Posted 16 October 2006 Author Posted 16 October 2006 What the fock are you all yabbering about? Maybe you should have watched the Welsh news! A lot can happen between 2pm on a Sunday and 2pm on a Monday
Head Honcho Posted 16 October 2006 Author Posted 16 October 2006 Wasn't their a incident with a Jag he got on HP and he missed a payment and had to default 10 grand or something... Yeh he's officially bankrupt.
Finnegan Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 The Western Mail are just saying his future "hangs in the ballance."
Head Honcho Posted 16 October 2006 Author Posted 16 October 2006 The Western Mail are just saying his future "hangs in the ballance." I know it's not the bible but Teletext says he's listed too and it's been on the news Swans quoted as saying he wasn't putting in enough effort. I think he spent most of his time in the smoke and turned up late for training too often.
Finnegan Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 You might be right, but I'd be surprised if they ship him off easily unless he's done something major we don't know about. Swansea have genuinely given him a lease of life and he's shone there like he really hasn't elsewhere. The bubble may have burst when they failed to get promoted, but he's seemed eager for goals this season. Maybe Jonesey signing is a hint that he's being replaced, but I'm not sure he can fill the Knights mould and sooner or later Trund's just going to be dead on his feet.
Brummie-FOX Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 Maybe a possibilty of a loan move?? But id prefer somebody like Paul Gallagher or the other strikers we've been linked with comning here. Or is Welsh being described By RK as the striker?
Joe. Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 I'd say get him in on loan quick before somebody else snaps him up. He's a big gamble though- he seems to have been sold by all of his clubs just for disciplinary reasons.
City Fan Posted 17 October 2006 Posted 17 October 2006 He's League One record is impressive but he has failed to do the business in this division when given the chance. He did well with Brighton in this division a few seasons ago. And you don't get in the Chelsea Academy for being shit...... I've always rated the guy, proven goalscorer, bring him in Kelly.

EDIT: thats being generous, I think his best is 5.
