Reports out today say the FA is considering moving the FA Cup Final to a Wednesday to help England's preparations for the 2006 World Cup.

The FA is believed to see the best date as Wednesday May 10 - three days before the end of the Premiership season - and not the original date for the final, Saturday May 20. This gives an extra week to help Sven's preparation of the team.

Which is most important to you: the preparation and potential success of the England team or one of the game's greatest traditions?

England will have had the best part of two years to prepare for the World Cup, if they qualify.

The FA Cup final could be the biggest day in some fans' lifetimes.

Sorry, I forgot, the FA Cup final is a great chance for the FA to show off it's corporate hospitality, not to show any considerations towards the fans.

Silly me.

best thing i heard this morning about this is that they should start the premiership on the same day as the championship. That way the season will end a week earlier then they can fit the FA cup final in a week earlier. Problem solved!!

Wednesday FA cup final would be terrible

England will fall to some third rate side in the quarter finals whether or not they get an extra week. That's England's level at the moment.:unsure::rolleyes::( <_<
