Feelings For The New Season

Recommended Posts

Posted

An idea I had just to see what every thinks about our players and how well the team will do this year.

Put down the position you think city will finish

Put down the player who will be player of the season

Put down the player who will be top goalscorer

Put down how well we will do will do in the cups

Mine would be

Position: 7th

Player of the season: Momo Sylla

Top goalscorer : Connolly ( seeing as he is now staying )

Carling Cup : 4th Round

FA Cup : 4th Round

Over to you

Be a bit easier when we actually know who will be playing for us. A week - especially this week - is a long time in football as we shall all see.

You're fast becoming a diluted version of Chandler. I sense your not happy with Levein in the slightest, what do you expect after all the shit he was left with from the Adams era?:rolleyes:

Of course I am happy with Levein, when have I said that I want him out?

However, some people here (like you) get easily carried away imo. All these signings that you said you had inside knowledge about have come to nothing (prime example being Colin Kazim-Richards) and we are still looking woeful up front without Connolly.

It's all well and good talking the talk (as Levein does), but it's actually results on the pitch that will show how successful Levein is as a manager, and so far his record isn't anything to write home about. I have come across many people in my personal life who can talk the dog's bollocks and impress anybody when it comes to speaking their mind, but actions speak louder than words. The same applies to Levein for me.

I appreciate that he has made some fantastic signings and he has changed our style of play for the better. But that doesn't mean I can't express my concern at the things I feel need improving - our defending from set plays, Williams being the invisible man, De Vries underperforming etc etc.

Besides, my prediction shows the I think we will improve on last season's finish, hardly a voice of disapproval.
