That's because of what they did towards the end of the season. I'd argue that our current XI if it could include Ndidi, Fattawu, Ricardo and Mads would wipe the floor with them. We all look back romantically at that season because of what unfolded towards the end....this season's end hasn't been written yet.

Konchesky was berated by our fan base Upson barely played and when he did he was doggo De Laet was so good he was shipped out on loan the following season Dean Hammond was stealing a living as a footballer and was Championship lower end standard at best The spirit was there but I argue the quality was not bar the magic Cambiasso sprinkled on proceedings

The defence in 2014/15 before Huth stepped in was equally as crap as this season

If I remember rightly the one signing (Huth) in January was what made all the difference. Before then we didn't look secure defensively at all. I feel we need a Huth type signing in this window...... Lindelof maybe??
