Personally I think somewhere between Enzos ideas and the players implementing them something has been lost in translation. Some of our passing and play is ridiculous and serves zero purpose.

I know we are top of the league but I'm not sure how much more of this style of football I can stomach. I understand the importance of keeping the ball but passing backwards all the time, playing risky balls into midfielders, playing aimless long balls....not for me. You lot can crack on paying good money to watch it but I'll save my pennies thanks.

I don't care how we achieve it but we must get ourselves in more goalscoring positions and quicker...reduce the time we spend in our own half passing it around like keep ball

I think it was a myth that we were ever going to storm the league. What happened in my opinion was the following: - We played a style of football not accustomed to this level and passed teams off the park. - We were given far to much respect by teams who mostly stood off us and allowed us to dictate games - I also genuinely believe that we were winning matches and scoring goals due to our superior players not some tactical masterclass (many of which are Premier League class). I understand and I appreciate the style of play Enzo is looking to instill but it MUST come with end product. Sadly we aren't going to score points for keeping the ball the longest and stringing a million passes together we have to remember the end goal is to score goals no matter how pretty/ugly.

In answer to is Enzo overcomplicating things - the answer is a resounding yes. You don't score points or win matches just for keeping the ball. The one time a player decided to break the mould and go on a run (Faes) he breezed past their players like they weren't there. Enzo needs to appreciate there's more than 1 way to win a football match.

That was such a dogshit performance. It's like the players just think they have to turn up and they'll win. Not being funny but anyone who thought we were playing well when we luckily beat Sunderland and QPR needs to give their head a wobble. As far as I can tell we've been crap for weeks and teams have well and truly sussed us out...starve us of space and time and we are f***ed. Very very disappointed with Nacho today.... absolutely useless out there.

I'm starting to wonder if when Praet, Ndidi and Akgun are fit we should play with a false 9....that would give us ultimate control in midfield and Mavididi and Fattawu are then the goal threats.

Against teams that press us like Leeds did last night and Liverpool did in the cup and pre season we have to seriously rethink our approach. I'm not saying we just punt it long but we need to find ways to break out in our triangles effectively. What I saw last night was us panicking in posession and not finding the space behind the press....we to often played it out wide when in matches like that the space should be through the middle....Casadei and KDH were completely ineffective in being found and exploiting that space.

Gonna have to up our game here. Won't win this playing crap
