Most people who are for this signing seem to think he’s a good signing ‘among 2 other forwards signing’. Well ok if he signs and we then go and get another striker and another winger/attacking midfielder…where the hell does Ayew fit?! 4th choice striker and 5/6th choice winger? He simply isn’t a striker, particularly in a 4-2-3-1. On the wings he isn’t better than any of Mav, Fatawu or Bobby. Id prefer McAteer to get gametime or even shift the Argie right in a 4-3-3 with a combative midfield of Winks, Ndidi and Skipp. I do not support this signing at all. I don’t remember ever feeling like this about someone we are after.

8m for 33yo Ayew who offers next to no attacking output while we can’t shift Soumare, Thomas, Ward and still pay half of Souttars wages
