yeah but most seem to be believing it
-
so 2 more from the same paper.....id still be very surprised if this is true, given all the lark that the club was going back to the model of getting hungry young players also says "top target" well that aint true, number 1 is a replacement for KDH so Ayew isnt a top target
-
wonder how many "fans" turned their nose up when Barkley signed for them, can you imagine if we had signed him on a free prior to last season, some of our fans would be calling him over the hill, washed and not what we need on Soule, it sounds like hes not up for a relegation fight, if we was a mid table side then sure he might have been a little more keen. but as you said Roma are on the upturn and of course they are in a better state than us
-
juve trying to sign koopmeiners then that should roll on for them to push for O'Riley more
-
ah ok, if it was more than one source, but its just nixon, and his record with us is so scattergun its unreal
-
who else?
-
the reaction to one person saying it is funny asf you have to admit
-
yeah pretty much, its like all common sense, fact checking etc has gone right out the window
-
people who believe everything that is written without looking at all the facts/logic like come on man, it isnt hard to use your sodding brain
-
yet some on here think Ipswich have had a great window..... If Ayew goes anyway I think he'll go Saudi, us paying what 2/3mil then hefty wages too for someone his age; nah
-
well im of the view of the latter, as he hasnt got a great transfer news record in regards premier league transfers(if im correct)football league hes decent at times someone of the age of Ayew, use paying a fee for him too; it just doesnt feel right, kinda like the KDH Brighton and them "paying! £30mil for him, which they never was
-
Nixon is the only one reporting this.....why arent others......
-
Roma are a bigger club than us, so Soule once there was serious interest known was more than likely going there, felt like we was used as a pawn more than anything O'Riley is linked with loads and the only team to put a bid in has been Atalanta, and imo id expect him to go there given UCL football i fully expect us to get a replacement in for KDH; could be a left field name as Ive said, look back at the transfers we've had the past 5/6 years, we havent signed anyone over 30 for a transfer fee. Ayew is 33 this year i guess we should have gone for better then....... wheres the logic and sense gone nowadays? also look at the article, says "attracting interest from saudi clubs"
-
who said we are getting him? Nixon might have said we "put in an offer"; oh didnt Percy say we are working on getting Soule done too? i dont mind BD-R. can play a number of positions and hes came in on a free; proven in the premier league too. Ayew i'd be very surprised if we are even looking at him, as it goes against all the stuff posted months back about the club going back to the old transfer model would you rather us do an Ipswich and spend £20mil+ on a striker who couldnt score 10 goals in the championship last season?
-
really like really? who are you expecting to come in? i wouldnt even call or transfer window embarrassing, look at previous ones, theyve been alot worse. the reaction to a transfer rumour on here is laughable,
-
nah come on, be serious, look at our past transfers, when was the last time we paid a transfer fee for a player over 30? think it was Jakupovic in 2017 so it would be a massive change, kinda like when everyone was thinking KDH was gonna go Brighton.....but them paying £30mil for a 25 year old didnt add up, which proved to be correct
-
so much talent in asian football atm, another region the club seems to think doesnt exist
-
yeah that tbf; lower league stuff he aint bad, but hes very hit and miss would be massively odd for us to pay for a 33yr old
-
screams of agent talk for me

personally think the country has gone a bit soft, like you can say boo to a goose without it offending someone
-
thats my view, i do think the officer in question may well lose his job, well the one we see him doing atm, hes more than likely still going to be within the police but not front line stuff, maybe desk work or something like that, but could be anything given the police force isnt swimming with numbers i certainly think the 2 men who started it all should have action taken against them and hopefully they will on the last comment, people can think that tbf; but if you talk to them, even at football they are just regular people, but regular people wearing a massive heavy load of gear
-
has any of the main stream media even shown the other footage of the incident at Manchester Airport? also the kick to the head etc wasnt need, both the copper(who kicked) and the 2 guys should be in court imo My sister is a copper and i honestly dont think people understand the toll it can take out of you mentally and physically; to say its a hard job is an understatement and the pay is frankly shocking too for what they have to do as well

Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread
FrankieADZ replied to Happy Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
looks like it could be a long old season for Derby, some of their fans already turning on Warne in pre-season, only won against Matlock Town and lost the rest -
bare in mind that Edwards fee will be alot more than that, probably upwards of £7mil when the add ons are hit, and then posh have a sell on clause in it too, which will be at least 10% on Hudson-Odoi, they did get a decent deal on that but i suspect hes on high wages, and again Chelsea will have a good % in terms of sell on as well as you said tho, there is value in the market, its about getting whats right for us
