I expect some of these players to be sold in the days and weeks to come. Consider this friendly an appearance in the shopping window. My to-leave-list: De Cordova-Reid, Soumaré, Ayew, Vestergaard, Faes, Ndidi, potentially Winks even.

These Adidas shirts should be £45 max. Tacky manufacturer‘s badge, ugly collar, dominating stripes, cheap pattern, desaturated club crest. What‘s not to like about it? Oh, mention „gold“ and some will surely be blinded by it. Probably our least-effort home shirt since the League One season. Get this season over with already, so we don‘t have to witness these Adidas abominations any longer. Their retro range is a different kettle of fish, mind.

Very underwhelmed, bordering on indifference. The sponsor and kit disaster hasn't helped. Some of the culprits in the squad from last season should've been shown the door early on in pre-season, and we needed more hungry, dedicated and talented players as replacements. Not overly excited, but that means I can only be positively surprised. I'm just not sure the majority of players are up for this Championship marathon. Making the playoffs would be the maximum achievement. Automatic promotion seems to be nothing but a fever dream.
