My wife just commented that she "doesn't like his eyes" which made me think this is probably the same kind of level of input Rudkin has on our transfer dealings.

This is the kind of content I want football pundits talking about. Absolute gold.

Not sure what is going on with sky sports. Crowd sound is as comfortable as tinnitus and the commentators totally bored by the whole thing (guess I can't argue there).

Yep stream too please, otherwise I've a two hour train journey next to someone watching at home with the furys

Fuming we didn’t use the 28 day returns policy on him if true.

Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?

So regardless of what people think on here, looks like everyone has gone and taken a punt on it as betting is suspended 😄 -
I’m all for it. Yeah, he’s not perfect, but he instilled a proper togetherness in that team. They were also insanely fit and hardworking, two things we absolutely are not at this moment. I don’t think a high profile appointment is what the club needs at the moment, it’s a pragmatic one. And as some people have already said, the club appear too shortsighted to go for an up and coming coach, and a bigger name probably won’t be interested. NP is a safe bet in my opinion, though perhaps not one to bring immediate success.
-
I just don’t get that performance. As a few have said, this would’ve been perfect 3 or 4 games ago, bringing some confidence back into the team, reducing individual error and building on it. As it stands, we now have to win and hope Everton lose at home to a team who will be on the beach. No way Everton don’t win that which is a shame, if ever there was a team in need of relegation, it’s Everton.

The closest I’ve seen is John Terry following Leicester on Instagram and Twitter which is obviously how things are confirmed these days

Love that Jason Bourne has to highlight the time as it’ll have gone tits up within an hour
-
Please stop saying “it can’t get any worse” because it’s the one thing we’ve been good at defying this season.
-
Yeah I bumped this too as from what I remember, Sambiasso didn’t have a name. To me that suggested it was a manager not yet mentioned on FT. That or a previous target had a changed their minds.
-
At least this time if he steals another taxi, people will think it’s totally justified.
-
Whoever it is, it needs to happen soon. I can’t keep having dreams of refreshing foxestalk.
-
So am I right in thinking at the moment we still have no idea who the new name is? I think @Sambiasso mentioned an eleventh hour candidate has come up but as yet the name was unknown. I think I made the mistake of immediately assuming that meant it wasn’t a name we have so far been linked with. whoever it is, realistically they need to be with us immediately to give us a fighting chance of avoiding total humiliation at Man City.

As others have pointed out, we’re at a low point but only in the context of our recent premier league history. We’ve been spoilt over the last few years (perhaps with the exception of the last 18 months). It worries me that our immediate future hangs in the balance. I only hope that this current predicament is the kick up the arse the club and top need; that this is like a check up from the doctor who tells you to change your ways or you’re heading to an early grave - perhaps a bit dramatic but you get my point. regardless of what division we are in next year, we need a root and branch change of how we run as a club, otherwise we’re heading back to becoming a middle of the road championship team. And from Top’s perspective, as a supposed businessman, this is suicide. Hopefully it makes him pay more attention to how his club is run, or to identify where its main failings are and make changes.

Great post. They were magical times and I’m all for it. I’m going to smother myself in Fox Leisure and enjoy the ride.

I’m clearly a sadist but has anyone got a stream to watch this hell?
-
Except ironically our own defenders

1884 likes as well, there’s a sneaky clue.

Ah Christ I could cry, what the hell has happened?
