You’re killing your credibility by accusing people of corrupt business practices when in reality you have no clue about whether or not that’s true. The clubs been poorly ran in recent years when it comes to player recruitment which is a major issue but all the “club is rotten to the core” hyperbole is where you lose me.

If I remember rightly I think even Ruud was saying (edit: or at least implying it, I don't remember and don't want to overstate it) last night that we were somewhat lucky. Sometimes it's hard to decouple scorelines from performances but I don't think it's controversial to say we could have easily drawn/lost that game on another night. And again none of that is to say that I'm not as happy as anyone else that in reality we won and that there were some okay/good individual performances (Mads etc). The main thing is we won his first game in charge and should hopefully be a big relief and give a bit of confidence/momentum.

Yeah I think we were lucky that A. the early goal was just onside and then B. they could have had 2+ in the first half and it would have been a very different game most likely. I don't think they'll be dragged in to a relegation battle personally. But what a perfect game to get some luck in, chuffed with it.

I’d take the point if there was photo or video in a random nightclub the day of a loss fair enough but this wasn’t that. I really don’t think him being daft with the other players at a sanctioned Christmas party means he’s unprofessional or not a leader. Whether he’s a good enough player is obv a different conversation completely.

Or if target number 1 is Potter they didn't want the noise around his first game being Chelsea.

Yeah today we had basically our championship 11 except for Kris and Buonanotte. We don’t have a great side. They might be good enough to stay up (this year especially) but we’re not gonna be mid table realistically with these players imo. I wasn’t thrilled with the Cooper appointment and I wouldn’t be shocked if he didn’t last the season. Having said that, if we survive I don’t really care whether it ends up being under him or not, as long as we get there and we’re tracking to do that at the min. I think a lot of fans have an unconscious bias because he’s boring and mainly because he used to manage Forest.

Can argue semantics but as it stands we’re 5 points clear of relegation, we’d have all taken that before the start of the season.

I think £10 would have been palatable for people... I think anything £15 and under would have got much less of a backlash.

Think sometimes people like to have something to whinge about the way this type of thing gets talked about.

I guess the point would be why is someone trying to bet a grand on Cooper unless they have inside info.

Makes sense to me that you would hold talks to make sure you're largely on the same page as each other before then going away to make a final decision.

There is a noticeable difference between 720 and 1080 especially as you get into 40"+ TVs but 720 is very watchable especially when it's free.

The free TV side of it is actually the most temperamental, the on demand movies and TV shows are the best part. The main reason I want to stream live is to try and see away games. Other than that I just use it for on demand stuff.

Is that the case for on-demand content as well? Not the end of the world if so but at least I don't have to spend any time looking for 1080 stuff.

Okay cheers thought as much.The laptop/fire stick route seemed a much cheaper option than the boxes a lot of people were on about in the thread so didn't know if there was any major downside. One more thing... nearly all of the HD content seems to be 720p except for one that I found that specified 1080p but was "unavailable". Is it common for nearly all of the content to be 720p only or are there addons that have mainly 1080p stuff?

I've installed it with some addons on my laptop and also ordered an Amazon Fire Stick which is coming tomorrow. Does anyone know of any disadvantages of doing this as opposed to a preloaded box?

Yeah that's what didn't make sense. To me if the mods weren't installed correctly it'd be completely broken, and if not then it should have looked great. Maybe it was just a poorly designed area that I happened to spawn to, god knows. Edit: either that or I somehow had dogshit settings on Do the combat physics seem dated to you now compared to when it was first released? Feel like re-installing to see what the deal is with it.

I actually tried to play it again a few months ago (barely played it after release) with a graphics "overhaul" mod as well and I'm sure it looked pretty dated (I remember it being very nice at the time) although it didn't make much sense for it to be as bad as it seemed. To be fair I also had a mod that let you choose where you spawn so it could have been a particularly ugly obscure area (was a random bandit tower and the surrounding area) or maybe the graphics mod actually made it worse, but both seems pretty unlikely? It wasn't horrendous but graphics and combat physics seemed nothing like I remember and I closed it after about 10 mins. Dunno, I'll probably give it another go eventually.

Can someone who's played a lot of Skyrim confirm whether there's a lot of dungeon crawling as part of the main storyline? Or is it varied?
