The brook that goes through Broughton Astley used to be brilliant for aquatic wildlife. We used to get bullhead fish (which I think were protected at one point?) in there and loads of crayfish, as well as migrating little egrets. However, large parts are hugely overgrown now, limiting the the water speed etc and so taking some animals out of the equation. However, this has led to other animals finding homes or passing through. There's strong signs of water voles along the overgrown banks and last summer there was evidence and droppings from otters passing through. I bloody love nature, I do.

That's all I was getting at really, none of it is classy. He shouldn't be on twitter, but then others in the media shouldn't be endorsing things such as the head severing etc. Parts of the left media have been having a right dig at him and it's all fair game. He has a joke back and everyone loses their mind. It's the hypocrisy which I was pointing out. I'd say the constant Trump bashing has a larger chance of having an effect on someone to cause harm to him, than him tweeting a wrestling move, then all journos being in serious danger. There's no harm in disagreeing on the media outrages and narratives.

That's a fair point and way of looking at it. I don't think that what madonna said, or snoop said, or the play where Trump gets murdered etc are meant in pure seriousness, but I don't think they're intended as a joke either. They're bold statements of how they feel. My original points were about the over reaction and hysterical nature of the left leaning journos etc (as well as some people). I dont think he should be on Twitter, but I most certainly don't think he's inciting violence, especially compared to other things such as what I've highlighted. Funny that you don't think it matters when you appear to be wrong. I'm not a Trump supporter, but I feel some hypocrisy needs to be called out sometimes. If you really think that people are going to go round bodyslamming CNN reporters because of a jokey tweet, that's fine and we can disagree, we're entitled to that, though I think there'd be a much greater chance that people would take something on board that's been said by someone like Snoop Doog (who, let's not forget has threatened rape upon Melania before) etc. Your point about him being a joke out there slightly contradicts your point to back up mine though. If people think he's a joke, then they won't take him seriously.
-
That's what you said. I said that given his position, he probably shouldn't be on there. Do you honestly believe the media's reaction to a jokey tweet has been justified and correct? Judging by the reactions I posted above?
-
Yes, they are popular artists who's overall reach could possibly outstretch Trump's and what they have done could be seen to actually incite violence....Holding a severed head, preaching to crowds about blowing up the WH and a music video where Trump gets shot. If you think Trump posting a jokey meme about wrestling from Reddit, rather than thought out speeches, music videos or sick adverts is on a level playing field, you perhaps need to have a think about things too. Also, as I've said mulitple times, including above, I don't think Trump should be on twitter, and I didn't know that insinuating assassinating the Leader of the free world was part of the respective role profiles and occupations? Brian Stelter had better watch out, The Undertaker might come and chokeslam him now

I can't really be arsed to get in to a huge debate today, but I just wanted to say the whole outrage over Trump's CNN tweet is ridiculous. It was a dumb tweet to post, though slightly entertaining, but nothing to lose your sh*t over, let's be honest. Brian Stelter: Trump is inciting violence and threatening our lives. Brian Stelter again: Is the president trying to impersonate Hugo Chavez? Recep Tayyip Erdogan? Vladimir Putin? Jim Acosta (who's constantly upset now he can't be on camera grandstanding at pressers): This is serious. Journalists are going to get hurt and attacked because of this. Martha Raddatz of ABC: This seems like a direct threat. These are people who applaud the play depicting Trump getting violently murdered as art and freedom of expression. The people who (at first) all stood behind Kathy Griffin and her stunt, holding a severed head of Trump, Madonna admitting in front of crowds that she's thought about blowing up the White House, who then gets rounds of applause, Snoop Dogg showing the murder of Trump in one of his videos. None of these things are out of order or inciting hated, but Trump sharing a silly meme from Reddit it. It's no wonder ratings are plummeting and people are switching off. It's beyond pathetic now. And yes, as I've said before, I don't think Trump should be tweeting all the time. He holds such a position where I think he should be behaving more responsibly. let's also not forget that Trump's had an attempt on his life and was very close to having another Oh go on then, I'll drop one more thing i. Despite the stupidity of the CNN outrage, here's a bit of 'Good Trump' from Forbes. By 2020, he'll have saved the White House Budget $22 million, saving $5 million per year compared to Obama. He's still not taking the $400,000 salary. Ivanka and her husband have both also turned down their salaries. There are 110 fewer staffers than under the previous administration (whether that's good or bad is yet to be seen though, I'll admit that). Melania has only 5 staffers to help her, compared to Michelle Obamas (rightly criticised) 24 consultants, advisers, schedulers, directors etc.

I quite like how scheming he is, going between all parties, playing his own game, though as you mention, his plans for the throne are effectively over so his stories run its course and so he'd just be a useless character now.

Yea Jamie's probably going to kill off Cersei when he realises what a nutter she's become. Little Finger's going to get binned off by Arya too I reckon.

Who doesn't love midget sex, lets be honest!

Seeing as a few people have mentioned Venezuela and didn't know where else to post it....I've only just seen this. It's real rosy there 'Helicopter launches attack on Supreme Court' http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-40426642 -
The comment about Trump bashing was a bit petty and uncalled for from myself. I know we've had good debates in here on some of the subjects surrounding him and some good things have been brought up so I take that back. It's just not always to find them underneath the rhetoric and complete one-sidedness of the media around him. It's certainly a sad state of affairs when such huge news corporations push their own agenda so much that they can't be trusted (and that goes for all of them). The days of real journalism are almost gone, with everyone so trigger happy to be first to report on something, that they never fact check or actually research what they're writing. It's all 'shoot first, ask later' and it's a damn shame. I fancied trying my hand at journalism or persuing a career in it at one point and I'm glad I didn't as I doubt I'd be able to hold my tongue in the current environment. I'd probably get locked up for being a whistle blower

Fixed it for you.

Whilst still on the topic of fake new too. Sarah Palin is to sue the New York Times for defamation over an editorial in which it claimed she directly incited Jared Loughner's shooting rampage in 2011 in which he shot 19 people, murdering 6, including a Chief District Court Judge and a 9 year old girl. Another story which has gone under the radar, alongside Bernie's mishap is that Trump has never been under FBI investigation. However, Loretta Lynch is, and Hillary still is for going against ethical protocol whilst Secretary of State. http://circa.com/politics/clinton-pressured-bangladesh-prime-minister-personally-to-help-foundation-donor

I'm yet to watch it but have read the transcript and it's pretty damning, though it was obvious what they were doing anyway. No doubt it will be dismissed though, just as the videos (by the same undercover team) were of people and recruiting companies admitting they were being paid by the Democrats to go to Trump rallies to deliberately start fights and kick off in front of the cameras during the election.
-
Come on Matt, you're not surprised at all are you? This thread is for Trump bashing only. There's also undercover footage which has come to light this week of CNN Supervising Producer John Bonifield saying the whole Russia thing is for ratings, is 'mostly bullsh*t', 'for ratings', and 'that even if Russia did try to interfere, it's nothing new and the CIA does it in other countries all the time anyway', amongst other things.

That's currently much more acceptable. Oh don't I know it. It was alright as a bit of a joke at first but it's actually seeped in to regular, unnecessary vocabulary now. "I saw a frog in the pond the other day....unbelievable!" No, it's entirely believable you cretin!
-
'Unbelievable'. Over the last year or so, this word is just thrown in to every other sentence. Everything's bloody unbelievable. NO it's not, it's actually quite believable and there ARE other, more suitable words to use instead. I guess lazy language and over-exaggeration is pretty annoying on a whole really.

Yea Reddit isn't exactly a hotbed of 'right' activity but it's still somewhere off the beaten track where people can have their voice and say a lot easier etc. Thankfully, I've never joined Twitter and don't intend to, though from what I HAVE read regarding that, both sides have quite vocal support and it seems to bring out the worst in some people who think they can spout what they like relatively anonymous. On your last point, I have to disagree (to an extent). Facebook has been known to, admitted to, and is currently pushing quite a left sided agenda. -

Oh I'm not doubting it occurs (though my previous reply was perhaps a little hazy). I don't tend to use a great deal of forums etc to be honest, only really here, and Facebook (which has been on a real agenda pushing drive lately, and it' hasn't even been subtle). I tend to avoid Reddit & 4Chan etc like the plague these days. -

Valid point there, and yes, certain papers do support certain parties too, so maybe it's just me and I'm too open minded for my own good It would be wonderful if a new paper or outlet were to spring up, provided by journalists who actually do the job for journaIism and the truth, taking in all angles and research to provide a balanced conclusion, rather than from angles. I lean to the right but (as I've said before) won't ever rule out the possibility of voting another way if I think it's best for the country or myself. That's why I read a wide spectrum of opinions, so I can form my own after taking it from all angles, rather than just surrounding myself within an echo chamber, which a lot of people seem to do. I guess the Guardian and Independent will get dogs abuse from sections, though it's not something I see a lot of on the social platforms I use. -

That's a true point and it doesn't bother me that they do, I just find it frustrating when people clutch so tensely to their chosen paper like the Guardian so tightly that all other opinions must be wrong. It's a little annoying too h ow the Mail & the Sun can get such dogs abuse, yet people think the Guardian & Independent are the paper of the Gods We all know I lean to the right, however I don't read the Mail but do read the Guardian online (as infuriating as it can be sometimes), to take in other views, upon which I can make my own judgement. -

To be quite honest, the Guardian, Daily Mail and The Sun can all go in the same bin. They're all as guilty as each other. Oh and lets not forget The Independent. For me, that's overtaken the Guardian in terms of one sided nonsense. -
Ahhh yes, I can fully understand that fans wouldn't be too happy. Haha that wouldn't be a bad away day would it!
