Which OS are you using? And can you give more info on the type of speakers/system etc. But here are a few things to try but will vary depending on if you use Vista or XP... Go to Start > Control Panel > Sound and see if there are any devices there. If so, click configure and see if that does anything (probably won't but worth checking). Then click Properties and go through the tabs to see if there is anything that has been disabled/switched off. Notably, check if the audio out is disabled or not! If that fails, then you may need to install/update your sound card driver in which case you need to go to Control Panel > Devices and under the sound and game controllers check to see if you Sound Card device is there. If so, right click > Properties > Driver tab and then select update driver. PM if you have any issue and I can run through it over MSN or something if you want!

Same here! Well, its nearly the end now. Had a decent day, got breakfast made for me this morning, got a few presents and then started revising. Went for a few drinks this evening and got given a bottle of vodka (which is still unopened as I am revising - altho it may come in handy over the next few days) and then just had an awesome meal at an Indian in Brum! Top stuff! 22 is a bit of a dull age but was good today!

Check for any spyware etc that may be running. Doubt its that but always worth checking if a browser plays up unexpectedly! Sptbot Search and Destroy is a good tool to use!

Yeah it can be. But just make sure its set at the recommended level by windows. It should be that by default. You may want to check that Windows has actually noticed you have RAM installed (sorry if thats a bit patronising!) From the sounds of it, it seems like its an issue with your browser more than anything and a memory hungry extension.
