People, I have £10 free bet from Betfair which I need to use by Monday morning so was wondering if there are any rips of making the most of this...

Which OS do you have? I suggest taking a look at this site > HERE I would get more RAM though if you can before changing the page file as its probably already set as the default recommended value! Also, which web browser are you using? If its firefox then its most likely that there is an extension which is chewing up all the RAM and hence not releasing it. Best way to check is to right click the windows bar and go to Task Manager. Then click processes and sort by memory usage. See what your web browser is using and post here...you will be looking for something in the region of 100,000 - 200,000K depending on extensions etc!

A few things to try: Try and update the drivers for your sound card. Depending on your OS which I'm assuming is Windows...Go to Control Panel > Device Manager > Right Click and select properties on your speakers/sound card under the Sound, Video, Game Controllers option. Select the Driver tab > and update driver. If that doesn't pick up anything and it says its already updated then your next step will be to contact the manufacturer of your speakers/laptop. You could go straight to the manufacturer and see if they have anything on their support site. What is the make and model for your laptop??

I've been on betfair for a while and used it mainly for the multiples because I received a £10 free bet earlier in the season and won £40 so just been using that up since. But one thing I quite haven't got my head around is the lay betting against a current bet. I understand the concept in that you are betting against something that you think will lose. But obviously, it its obvious the odds will be really low - i think thats the right way round. Just need some example though if betting against current bets and if possible, can be done on a multiple bet??

Lectures, lab, and Final Year Project. And I managed to eat a heck of a lot of food today! Frosties for breaky, then crisps, snack bar and a baguette for lunch. More sweets in town then popped in the Maccy Dees for a quick bite in-between lectures and then got back and about 8ish had a prawn and veggie stir fry. I think the McDonalds was an overkill.

3 Hours straight of lectures today which was tedius. Lost concentration after 10 minutes and started thinking about what to eat which in turn made me more hungry and so I was really suffering after 15 minutes. I made it through the rest just about and then came home. Since then I have been making notes, sorting out my music and watching Gavin and Stacy. What a contrast to last week when I was revising non stop!!

I wish I still had the chance to do re-sits! Make the most of them while you can! If I fail I have to re take the whole year, even if its just one module!

Had another exam this morning which didn't go so well. Having a nightmare this week and its the most important exams as well! Only one more to go on Thursday which is going to be another killer. Software Engineering - Management and Metrics - fan dabby dozie!

Day has been totally unproductive today...went into Uni and handed a report in, got a coursework mark back which isn't decent enough to post on here and then sat in Starbucks for an hour. I really should get into revision soon but too upset after hearing news about Tunchev. I am also hampered by the fact we have a Football Table in our house now so I keep getting distracted!

Yeah, I saw that phone in a good deal with Orange and I can get it free as an upgrade as I'm with them already. Just not sure if I would use half the stuff on there and the other thing about Orange is that they don't include unlimited browsing in the contract which is annoying! TMobile and 02 offer it which is tempting me to leave Orange. But on the other hand I have a good deal with Orange at the moment. Which network are you on??

Righty, I was wondering if you FTers can help me. My contract is running out soon and I'm trying to figure out which new phone to get. I am looking to spend £30-£35 a month on contract but my main issue is which phone to get. I do text and call quite a bit and I'm not too fussed about a camera or a walkman. I do have a SE K850i atm and I like it so I could just stick with it. But I have been looking at the iPhone and love the fact you can browse the web etc. So I have seen the new C905, N96, Samsung Pixon and LG Renoir but not sure which is best. I have also seen the TMobile Google Phone but not so sure about that. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone recently got a new phone??

I should be revising but got up late and been watching trash day time TV and then Derren Brown on OnDemand! What a waste of time...!

Had an exam this morning which went OK surprisingly. Although, I guess I'll find out how I really did when I get the results in June. And more fun times ahead, revising for the next 3 exams!!
