I wanted him to stay as I thought he could finally be our starting No.9 and would get match fit and match sharp with the amount of consecutive games he would play, and really thrive in this league at this level... I was wrong (mostly) Not to say that he hasn't contributed at all, but he is putting out consistently drab performances and simply has not stepped up and tried to prove he is the best striker in the League. He is actually not even close, and I would have Vardy ahead of him for our most important games. I also think Cannon will push him to 3rd choice before long. I have always thought that he is a fantastic finisher and can play some wonderfully weighted passes. However, he lacks any real quality in all other areas. He isn't quick, his first touch is hit and miss, his movement poor, and most frustratingly, his enthusiasm and hunger to take games by the scruff of the neck, is non existent. Is he still capable of a purple patch where he could score in every game in December? Yes, and probably why Enzo persists with him, but I think I have seen enough and would like to see Vardy rotated with Cannon for the next few games.

Wrexham as it will be hyped like a World Cup Final Wouldn't mind a bash at Forest though. They are woeful at the moment.

Saying it is the most he has enjoyed his football anywhere and at anytime in his career, is a big kudos for how Enzo is doing. I think Harry will be here for a number of years with the way he talks about the club. He is not perfect, and I am not sure he would shine in a top 8 Premier League team, but he oozes class at this level and no doubt can still do a decent job in the Prem.

I would much prefer to have our run in than those two. I understand that this league is unpredictable, but we did a good job of beating the "poorer" sides in the league so far. These teams are towards the bottom of the table due to a lack of quality, whether defensively or attacking or both. Great opportunity to have a big December and hope the teams around us have wobbles, which will happen to everyone at some point. Things have not been flowing recently, but I think the manner in which we won today against a good side, away from home, could give us a big push!

The most recent update on these players was a woeful relegated team from the Premier League, with most players wanting to leave in the Summer OR the fans wanting them gone. We lost our best players to transfers or frees, and were left with some deadwood and an over bloated squad with a handful of unhappy players, and a serious hangover from being relegated. Yes, we still have a handful of lower rated Premier League quality players, but if we take off our blue tinted specs, so do Leeds, so do Southampton and there are a few other players in the league that might get a start ahead of our line-up too. Our squad now would struggle to stay in the Premier League, so suggesting we have current FA Cup winning/8th place finishing standard players doesn't ring true anymore. Add all this together, we really shouldn't underestimate the achievement of 15 wins out of 19, because we finished 8th in the Premier League by 1 point nearly 2 years ago. We are undoubtedly still a work in progress, but what the club and Enzo have achieved in just 19 games, should not really be sniffed at. There is still a long way to go, but we certainly have no divine right to walk this league, but we are doing a damn fine job of it so far.

Leeds next 6 games - Blackburn Rovers (A) Sunderland (A) Coventry City (H) Ipswich Town (H) Preston North End (A) West Bromwich Albion (A) I think they will be dropping points over December with that run in. 4 away games out of those 6 too. I am less bothered about Ipswich, simply because I care way more about that gap to 3rd. The manner of the win today was huge and I think relieved some pressure that has been building around the squad. You could see that in the post match interviews. I think we have a real chance to extend the gap over December. However, we have to kick on after today and can't stay in this mini lull.

Preston 1-1 now. A good day indeed!

You are moaning about moaners more than they are moaning!

MAKE LEICESTER GREAT AGAIN!

90% in favour of ditching VAR so far. I am sure that this is a good reflection of all fans across the country too. Why should Football organisations persist with this technology if it is so universally hated? Give the majority of fans what they want for a change.
-
Will never happen, but would be the best decision ever to scrap VAR and pump the money saved on all the tech, into extra refs and professional training right down the pyramid.
-
It's that easy folks... Get it done.

Not only to just catch up, but also to then go on and have better form than us for the rest of the season. Huge ask! They will have wobbles and bad patches along the way. Our gap is crucial and we just need to match their form for the rest of the season now. Very doable considering the poorer sides in the league. I think Leeds might be able to pull Ipswich in closer though.
-
Happy we have a nice cushion still from them and Leeds. Both are starting to show some decent form. I think this is one of the hardest seasons to get out of the Championship due to the strength of the teams that came down. Add to that an impressive Sunderland, West Brom and a surprisingly good Ipswich.
-
He is obviously a very talented Manager. I thought they would show signs of dropping off by now, but they keep going!
-
WTF is going on with Ipswich?!!
-
Fans are the same at every club up and down the country. All saying the same list of clichés when losing. I bet even Man City fans complain about passing out from the back when they lose a game

He is a very intelligent handsome man. Always said that.

Leeds actually started to double up on our wingers, probably to reduce the risk of a second yellow. This also meant that both our wingers struggled to find space that they had in the first half, and were forced to pass back or sideways. There were gaps to expose in the centre due to this switch by Leeds but Casadei isn't creative or good enough in that role, and KDH wasn't at his best. Needed Akgun and N'didi available. Would also like to see us bring in another creative CM in the Jan window, as Casadei is the weak link so far
-
The tactics that had us on a record breaking run of wins and best start to the Championship in its history?
-
I would have loved to see that in game tactical switch from Enzo tonight, as I think it would have completely baffled Leeds and caught them off guard. They were so well prepped and organised for that high press. At times, they had so many players pushed forward deep into our half to press our back line, a ball over the top or down the channels could have really opened them up and also made them have to rethink their own game plan with the aggressive press which we struggled with. Credit where it’s due though, they defended very well. Hopefully, big lessons learned from tonight.
-
Our silly walking football?? That's me done for tonight!
-
No plan B. Enzo schooled. *Insert Player* is Shite. Passing out the back doesn't work. It's been coming...(lucky wins) Bottlers. How dare you Jim! I have had these phrases copied and ready to paste every game since 2006! Don't come on here with your moderate takes on everything. Bathe in the doom and gloom like the rest of us!
-
Lets not make him the season's scapegoat though and attack him. He is young and covering for N'didi. He is struggling with the pace but I don't see a lack of effort from him. Useful player from the bench but shouldn't be starting or cover for such an important player like Ndidi. We likely need to bring in another player in January to cover Ndidi and get us over the line. Casadei has not developed into a good enough player yet for what we need right now, but he isn't lazy or shite.
