  1. I'd always recommend drinking in town if possible but if not there's a spoons on Walton road not far from the ground.
  2. I didn't even notice that. I'm not sure that legally they would be allowed to increase your chances based on a donation unless they clearly stated this. Usually Everton away is quite unpopular so thks will be a change from the norm.
  3. Failed in the ballot also but occasionally some of these games drop a little lower than expected. At least the members tier is on Friday at 5 after STH's rather than waiting until Monday - I feel seeing tickets for Chelsea away in 22/23 slowly trickle away over the course of the weekend.
  4. About 100 left now give or take, no chance they let this go to general.
  5. I think this will drop to members then sell out nearer the time if it looks like we might get promoted. No joy in the ballot yet again.
  6. I think that's the last really in demand game I got one for - since then it's just been Everton away which for various reasons no one wanted anyway!
  7. Would be nice to get a confirmed time and date for this soon, last thing I want to do is put in for the members ballot then find I can't go anyway.
  8. Excellent news on the allocation - they probably had to make a call either way by now and best to ensure they get the money.
  9. I think Saturday lunchtime may be replaced by Sunday noon simply as Saturday is league one final day - there's the usual PL double bill Sunday from 2 so they won't want a clash with that. I've seen they've put a PL game this Sunday at 6pm so I guess we can't rule that out as a slot either but I think Friday and Monday evening are bankers.
  10. Surely with how close it is sky will want to show us, Leeds and Ipswich for the penultimate game? The "official" date for broadcast picks is 5th April.
  11. What do we think about chances of TV pick for this one? If we do get picked is it reasonable to assume it won't be Saturday lunchtime as League One finishes that day with all games kicking off at 12:30? It could feasibly be Friday night, Saturday teatime or early Sunday kick off I guess?
  12. Yeah it'll be locked at the level it sold out at which is only fair really. Gone are the days when I lived in London and kept calling every day until the Chelsea FA cup game for returns and eventually struck lucky!
  13. This was absolutely sensational, the last time I remember actually falling down a couple of rows celebrating going 3-2 up just after equalising. Different time but also a rare moment of excitement during a painfully poor era for us
  14. It is a strange one and I benefitted from it massively in the 19/20 season and got Sheffield United and Villa tickets. I think it helped as well that they didn't advertise the ballot match by match and if you were on the ball you had a great chance. I can only assume it was intended as another way of convincing more people to get membership who were on the fence.
  15. This lull in atmosphere in English club football is one that I genuinely think is quite recent and I still can't quite put my finger on why. With regards to Leicester specifically, I don't think we've ever been up there with the best support home or away but at least up until our previous promotion to the premier League we were at least average and at times a bit better than that. I might be biased as that's the season I got to most away games but it felt like 13/14 was a relative peak for consistency in my time supporting Leicester - it helped that we were winning loads but as we can see from this season that's not a guarantee of good atmosphere. The main obvious difference between them and now it's the escalation of the smart phone and I've seen that really affect how things are at gigs - it used to be feral and really intense but (and this isn't entirely a bad thing) it's become much calmer now. Perhaps it's the younger generation who usually make noise being the first to grow up in a really sanitised era?
  16. What are the away stewards there for? We must be the only club that does this?
  17. Everton used to be a classic for this which was infuriating with the better seats in the upper tier.
  18. I thought ejecting that fan was bizarre and unnecessary, he was hardly inciting us to riot and he was getting pretty standard needle back. I don't even think it was remotely nasty, if anything it's opposing fans having fun with each other. It was also very low key compared to a cup game I remember at Huddersfield when a larger lady was giving it the big un constantly from them taking the lead and after our equaliser getting a 4000 strong rendition of "fatty what's the score". I don't remember a steward moving an inch then!
  19. Have to say it was pretty poor last night - decent celebrations for the goal but that's the bare minimum when you go ahead at Anfield. It felt like two disparate sections within one and it just never got going. I've never considered us to be up there with the best in terms of away atmosphere but back in 13/14 for example I thought we were consistently good away from home and it's a shame to see where it's got to now.
  20. As already mentioned there's been morons goading Liverpool fans with the S*n but not a chant as such. I didn't hear it last night but the only thing that arguably has links to Hillsborough is "always the victim it's never your fault". I recall that chant picking up momentum after the Suarez racism incident and that's all I associated it to at the time. However I can understand how others may be throwing Hillsborough in with that and that's how it's interpreted. I've never heard anything like some of the worst stuff sections of United fans have sung at Anfield however. I did hear a few "murderers" after their third which is more referencing Heysel than Hillsborough but again tiny minority. The "Tories" comments about our fans I assume is that we've been such big fans of belting out feed the scousers (not helped by the fact we ALWAYS play Everton and Liverpool at Christmas), it's seen as mocking poverty and that it's a Tory thing to do. I doubt it has anything to do with the actual perceived political beliefs of our fanbase which as others have mentioned will vary enormously across city and county. I don't think we have significant numbers of horrible people in our away ends but i don't think there's a lot of originality either and most of the stuff like feed the scousers is just sung to get a rise rightly or wrongly. Possibly the most bizarre moment I've had watching Leicester here is when some fans decided to start singing you'll never walk alone at Goodison...
  21. How bizarre I don't understand that one bit - if you've sold tickets in AL6 then you can't give any back from there to AL8 so why not make them all available?
  22. AL6 has opened up now with a strange pattern of seats gone in the middle.. Looks like about half the end.
  23. Yup, I've found the tickets have come really quickly for all the away games I've bought for this season.
