Picked up an injury against Villarreal

After seeing a very brief snippet of Okoli I’m a bit disappointed we’ve opted to blow 10+ m on him over giving Nelson a chance! I guess the club are thinking his development would be best served out on loan getting regular game time over a potential rotation/back up option here… granted it’s early doors with Okoli but he didn’t look all that comfortable on the ball which could end up being a massive issue in the prem! Looks like a juiced up Amartey

I’m excited by the prospect of signing the lad based off his YouTube compilations alone as everything about him screams he should be playing through the middle… that being said we’ve not got the best track record when it comes to picking up square pegs for round holes

I think of all the positions we need to strengthen RB is probably up there with GK

Only problem is 2 of them will probably have had a decent season in the prem and be ready for walking away for nothing ready for the 25/26 season (sure Alves contract only has a year left and I imagine Braybrooks won’t be far of either) edit: Braybrooke expires 2026

Lots of references to the owner and Jon Rudkin but all in all a good listen… I feel the snobbery around his appointment from most myself included that we deserve better is starting to shift a little and I’m personally more leaning towards excitement for the new season!
