Well, they have pretty much worked today so why would people be complaining about it? Southampton have been absolutely awful so not really much to say about it. We've played quite well.

Tbh I think he needed to be greedy there. His finishing has been absolutely awful, the fact he backed himself to finish it after blowing so many simple opportunities screams mentality for me. Could easily have bottled it under his own pressure.

It really is baffling how he can pull out a prime Andrea Pirlo pass then 30 seconds later he's like Sol Bamba.

I'm really on the fence with how we have performed. I think we've done okay and we've started to string together some pretty smart plays, but Southampton are completely open, there is zero cohesion anywhere on the pitch from them. You can only beat who is in front of you, but Southampton are awful and Martin will be gone soon. Still don't feel comfortable.

Disappointed with this and to be honest I agree with some of the notion that the mentality is poor. At 20 years old turning down the chance to learn to become a dynamic full back that both attacks, defends and drifts into the middle and becomes a more all rounded player isn't very confidence filling. The way he's worded this it sounds like at such a young age he's already decided that he can only play one position with a set role, worrying especially given the fact he was pretty poor both defensively and offensively when he was utilised as an out-and-out fullback. Just surprised that someone doesn't want to expand their capabilities beyond a fairly rigid role.

Hopefully people stop diving down Ndidi's throat soon, he's been fantastic in his new role in the context of him being a defensive midfielder. He's a premier league player if Enzo can get him ticking.

We will see on that one, I think there's a great player in there, although will probably concede a fair few with this defence ahead of him

Definitely think he will be in the prem next season regardless. Been rocky today but he's got huge potential.

The funny thing is I think Bazunu is one of the best keepers in the league

The big shame here is we have absolutely nobody playing in that Maddison role to actually link him up. This is the first game where Vardy has had some space to move into where the opposition arent just camped on their 18 yard line. This game is screaming out for Cadadei or Iheanacho to slot in behind Vards.

I have to say I was excited by the idea of playing fluid, dynamic football where we control the ball but also create clear chances, excited by the prospect of trying to imitate our own version of Man City. But it does feel like we are needlessly overcomplicating a lot of our play and struggling to do the very basics. Which ironically is exactly the way Martin loves to play.

Definitely needs some time to get upto speed
