Akgun off is VERY harsh. One of our brightest and most progressive players tonight.
-
The way Nacho has been this season just roll the dice I say.
-
It's really shocking that it's come to this, but FINALLY, DAKA
-
Absolutely loving Akgun! Would like to see him more central to be honest.

WIlfo Toure warming up
-
Would love to see Daka on, Iheanacho has been so poor this season just cough up the £5m for Salzburg.

Considering the number of chances we've given pretty poor opposition this season I thought Liverpool would open us up, mainly a second string Liverpool tonight but still have more quality than Championship squads, they've wasted many chances this game, but overall I've been thoroughly impressed by our performance in the first half, a bit rough around the edges but we've been relatively comfortable.

It's way too easy to blame the ref for everything these days. When we fail to score and then concede a couple in the last minutes due to a massive errors, he will get hammered on here. It's always been the same, the ref is an easy scapegoat for our failings. Same with every club.

Hamza has been massively massively impressive since coming into the squad.
-
Nacho looking positively shite again. Massively fallen off this season.
-
Big test against a 2nd string Liverpool. I’ll be honest I think we could get smashed tonight. Hopefully we can keep it tight.

Current financial situation of the club

Mate is a Wednesday fan and i've been trying to convince him Luke Thomas is a double agent, think his 2/10 performance today might have swung him to the idea

I'm genuinely starting to wonder if this could be his future role with us. I sort of felt like he was thrown in there because Maresca knew he was a good player when on form and just wanted him on the pitch to help us in defensive moments. In the end it seems like he's really warming to this new role, the scary thing is, we could write a shopping list of individual moments where he could have done better, so the amount of scope for improvement in Wilfs game could potentially take him to new heights as a player. Scary how a defensive midfielder who's only job for most of his career has been to break up play can transition into a role so far apart from the role he knows, and yet do so well. Still only 26 too, Imagine where he could be in 12 months if he keeps improving like this

Bristol City (H) - Post-Match Thread

Dominant performance, still lacking in the final third in terms of decision making. Ndidi absolutely top drawer again, he's going to become that top class premier league midfielder we know he can be IMO, hopefully come January we will be in a league position to really nail him down to a contract. Still need to finish these games off as we really should not be biting our nails in the 94th minute defending a free kick after we have dominated so well. Nige set them up well and they made it hard for us, often forcing us to break down our own attacks. I hope at the final whistle Nige got a good reception. -
Yeah completely agree, i'm being slightly harsh I know, but we seem to be breaking down our own attacks most of the time and we often create clear chances for the opposition. Fine margins in football and we are definitely good enough to be putting these games well and truly to bed, rather than nailbiting a free kick in the final minute!
-
I get what you're saying but I think it was more relieved to get him off the books rather than "glad" to see him gone.
-
Definitely concerning that we still can't bury these games, we are dominating the ball but still look rocky at times. Take the result definitely but there is no guarantee we keep winning unless we can start finishing games off.
-
It's about time we had a round of one Nigel Pearson I think.

WHO IS THIS WILF
-
Ipswich leading again

I liked your comment and he immediately had a clanger

I will accept hand written apologies from everyone who gave me grief in the Ndidi transfer thread Jokes aside, I always felt like £15m for him was just ridiculous *IF* he could recover his form under the new manager, we know that at his peak he was a £50-60m player. He is proving how vital he could be. Even if he doesnt sign an extension, if he plays like this for the rest of the season, the £15m we could have got would be a blow but would be massively cushioned by his performances. If we go up he signs an extention 100%. Just to reiterate, he's playing a completely new role. He is going to get better. He's a premier league player when everyone around him is working.

Southampton 2-1 down too. Martin gone surely?
