  1. Very good pass from KDH there.
  2. As part of the Red Cross Morocco/Lybia earthquake appeal afaik
  3. Good grief, Southampton are on completely different pages from each other. They look absolutely awful, still think they might grab a goal if we don't settle this quickly.
  4. Yeah he signed in the summer, I'm not sure if Sunderland still have cash issues but they have barely spent anything for about 5 years now, so i'm just going on the basis that they may be tempted by a quick turnaround. If not maybe in summer.
  5. Not a rumour, but I wondered how much people think Jobe Bellingham will cost in January if he continues to impress. Could be worth snapping him up if we manage to move some names on in the window and he looks very very good at just 17. I know the name will probably push up the hype but he does look a serious prospect.
  6. Was hoping for a bit more onboard of them "sending it" but I suspect RB probably didnt want to take the risks considering an F1 car is simply not made for this circuit with all the bumps and undulations of the circuit. But still, Vettel back in an F1 car! He said in an interview that he can't write off a return in future, so I think he may be missing the sport. Hopefully a return is on the cards, generally I like to see younger drivers given a chance and let the past be the past, but I think there is always room for a 4x world champion, especially given how well Fernando is doing since his return. https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.i-cant-say-no-vettel-refuses-to-rule-out-f1-comeback-after-2022-retirement.7nIFDXXywbtGQjEYU7bNPE.html Edit: Personally, I think F1 would be fantastic a bit further up the ladder of F1.
  7. Not sure what to make of this, If he's the complete player then play him. It's obvious Vardy does not fit the style we want to play, Iheanacho has been okay and he's trying, if Daka is the complete player then why has he not played a single minute? I really don't believe a word Enzo says here. Hopefully the first of very few occasions.
  8. Love the response but just to be clear, I don't think they are useless altogether, but in their 3 matches this season they have been pretty useless and their 11 goals conceded was just as much their own fault rather than the opposition being world class. Long way to go, but if they continue to play how they are now and they don't fix these glaring high line issues they will go down with a whimper. Either way they will definitely be one of the teams we should be watching as a warning sign should we not improve dramatically between now and the end of the season and we scrape up.
  9. They definitely have so it will be interesting to see how they evolve, but from what i've seen they are creating their own mess. Their midfield and back 4 is so agressive they leave themselves open to the most basic of attacks.. This was their first goal conceded vs villa (Villa in white), the 3rd goal their defensive line was just as high. Also conceded a couple similar against spurs.
  10. They very likely would, but they would also have been far better matched IMO if they were playing these rigid roles. When you have the players capable of playing really fluid and dynamic styles where for the most part a formation is just for paper, and you have midfielders ending up between your own winger and the opponents centre back, and a full back ending up in a Central position and sometimes even outside the box, you can do it because everyone else is good enough to cover. But you do need top class players to make it work. This is the difference, Man City could play the system of any team in this league, but hardly anyone else can play Man City's system.
  11. Which is exactly what Burnley said. Right now they are tactically inept and losing to the most basic passes that nullify their positions. Similar to Marsch's Leeds where a single diagonal route 1 pass would undo their entire midfield and defence, Ironically the space that Ricardo is leaving open is the exact same space Leeds got hammered by in the Premier League, every week Leeds would activate their press and the opposition would just lump it diagonally to the space left by the full back who was pressing into the middle. I fear that we wouldn't have the finances to strengthen enough to make what we want to do work, as Burnley are also finding out. It then comes down to whether the manager has the ability to be flexible, so far Kompany hasn't really addressed this issue but very early days. Worth keeping an eye on.
  12. If it's going to work, I want it too! *Providing the end goal is to play similarly to Man City*
  13. This is true but I think Swansea/Brighton and us under rodgers played pretty simple football with largely traditional roles and positions whereas Maresca currently has Ndidi getting himself into the box and ending up drifting into the space between the full back and the opposing centreback, Ricardo is finding himself in midfield etc etc. So I fully get what you're saying however I think trying to play these sort of dynamic pep style tactics takes a very specific kind of player. Jesse Marsch found that at Leeds, his style was also very dynamic and almost ignored traditional positions.
