  1. I've lost a lot of faith in Tops ability to run this club over the last few years, however, I have little doubt he loves this club, I just sincerely hope he hasn't left it so late that he's selling the club out of pure desperation to the highest bidder, and he will atleast attempt to sell us to people/a group who can try to keep the foundation of the club stable and commit to rebuilding the relationship with the fans and continuing good work in the community. Funnily enough I'd be more confident in that outcome with a middle eastern group than an American one. I know Man City have seen a huge commercialisation of the club which is never fun, but they have spent quite a lot as far as I know on local infrastructure and trying to help regenerate the eastlands and have integrated the club with local facilities, which to be fair is pretty much what King Power have done. For example Citigroup cleaned up something like 70-80 acres of heavily polluted land to use for their football academy, but they donated 5 acres of it back to the community as open-access play areas, they built 1,000 social homes as part of a venture with Manchester city council. I'm not saying Citigroup are good owners, but they are certainly not the worst. I really hope Top doesn't just sell us off to someone who's only priority is extracting as much as possible.
  2. Yeah I will need to try to look into them more, I guess I was just working out of there was a possibility of us spending a sack load of money now buying young players who can improve (on lower wages but higher transfer fees) so that if we get back to the Champ and PSR kicks in, we in theory could spend less under PSR rules to stabilise?
  3. How restrictive are League One financial rules compared to PSR? Hypothetically if we were bought by an obscenely wealthy group, would we be in a position to spend more money now whilst PSR doesn't apply, to make sure should we get promoted we have a stronger base to work from?
  4. Wasn't part of the "problem" at the club, but since 23/24 it's been a disappointing time, after the 23/24 season I genuinely believed he would become the next 50-60m player we sold, he's been absolutely nowhere even close to that since apart from the odd moment. From a buying clubs perspective, you've got a player who did amazing in the Championship, suffered a horrific injury, then came back and had a relatively poor season compared to his breakout season, in a lower league than you're buying him for. So there is a genuine risk Fatawu won't ever hit the heights we thought he could, there is a whole host of players who were brilliant in the Champ but flopped at Prem level. From our perspective it's sad really that he was never able to recreate the form from that season upon his return, he deserves a shot at the prem and there is a huge chance he could come good for them, we profit from the sale so it's a win/win for us. There's no way he'd have wanted to be in League 1.
  5. The most corrupt World Cup in history. Infantino needs to be hounded out by football fans globally after this tournament.
  6. Spain are playing with fire. So many chances wasted.
  7. This has been one of the most memorable games I can remember since 15/16 and 2021. Genuinely great game of football between two team that can’t defend, give me this over 1-0 and defending for 45 mins
  8. Just googled how old Saka was to see how long I’m getting this for, 24 🤣🤣
  9. This game surely must be ringing alarm bells at the FA?
  10. Prime Vardy attack from both teams, 22-26 Leicester defence
  11. I don’t know what to make of it, it’s looking like two teams that simply cannot defend for toffee, both carving eachother open like a hot knife through butter.
  12. To be fair the comparison came to me as I was typing it, I was trying to think of a player who often did all the hard work then did the most predictable thing possible. Imo Saka is a good player and miles ahead of Lennon, but Lennon was known for his lack of end product. Sakas end product is far superior but relative to his overall ability imo it lets him down a lot. Saka for me often seems way too predictable but his sheer athleticism means it works. Hes made me look a complete moron this game though 🤣 but that’s not unusual 🤣
  13. We did, we wanted to watch it on Wednesday! 🤣
  14. France really haven’t turned up today, we’ve taken advantage of it though so can’t complain! Shame we didn’t take these risk all tournament
  15. Again, I never compared the players in style.
  16. I’m not saying they are the same level, just that Saka has the same issues in his game
  17. Saka reminds me so often of Aaron Lennon. So much talent but constantly let down by dumb mistakes and poor decision making.
  18. This has been a brilliant game of football so far.
  19. Pressure is off and now we are willing to take chances. Professional bottlers.
  20. I'm really hoping that in the coming weeks we will be able to tap up the likes of Arsenal/Man City for loan players, Enzo knows how the owners want to play, he knows how insane the facilities are, he knows Russell Martin is probably the best lower league manager in the country for coaching this style, it makes so much sense for possession teams to send us their best and brightest talents on loan.
  21. Looked bang average for 70% of the games I've seen him in including for us. He was a player that gave you a bit of a boost when he got the ball because it always felt like he could maybe spark something, most of the time he ended up producing nothing. Obviously he's not expected to be putting in 8.5s against the likes of France/Netherlands, but his only good performances came against smaller teams, Brazil being the outlier yet they were awful all tournament. We bought him for a fair price, sold him for a fair price, can't see him going on to become the player he has the capacity to become. Another player who "on his day" in great, but his day comes once every 8 games.
  22. I can't remember seeing anything like this? We've had bad teams in the past, but 9/10 they have always been teams with no money.
  23. Times changed slightly after this screenshot, Astons were still 4s slower, this has to be one of the worst cars in modern history in relative terms? They have brought upgrades here haven't they??
  24. I know our hand is largely being forced, but the young players appear to be taking to Russell Martins style well so far. Most of our top performers have come from the Academy.
